This was not one thing or another. The machine was baffled and confused by its perfect array of imperfections which meant it could not be neatly packaged or placed within the categories by which it knew.

See, here was the thing, humans were always wonky. They could not be paired to the constraints of societal brackets, for then there would be little left in the realm of imagination or creative freedom. I was not we - it never had been.

Sparks began to fly as the construct of reality was shattered beneath the weight of its own clumsy foolishness. How had they ever imagined they might get away with it? For they themselves, were wonky after all.

E-Talking is a producer we've followed for years, both independently and as one half of Nummer - the hardware duo who have released music on the likes of Going Good.

E-Talking has appeared independently on the likes of Going Good and AD93 fka Whities. This next EP enters new territories, targeting the club directly with foreboding cuts of electronic music built for the dancefloor.

As Pugilist, Alex Dickson has a rich history of fusing multiple genres to produce unique soundscapes that occupy the collapsing space between techno, house, breakbeat and jungle. Extracting and distilling the crucial ingredients from each one and using them to conjure up rich sonic tapestries that are as vivid as they are intoxicating. With his debut EP for Of Paradise, entitled ‘Negative Space’, Dickson pushes his sound even further, serving up a masterclass in atmospheric club chemistry, purpose-built for a post-apocalyptic world.Featuring four deeply effective cuts caught somewhere between offbeat techno, lucid breaks and swaggering bass, ‘Negative Space’ is a four-track vortex born out of heat-soaked landscapes and executed with cold vein precision.

DJ Polo returns to Livity Sound with an EP that moves beyond the UK funky styles he established alongside Tribal Brothers on The Link Up EP in 2021. Through his productions and steady online radio presence, the Bristol-based producer has been flying the flag for lean, punchy rhythms with a low-end focus, but on If The Glove Fits Polo has branched out to explore different tempos and sounds taking influence from gqom, techno and Afrobeats. 

Much like his approach to funky, this isn’t a set of genre exercises but more a celebration of the shared qualities which bind together dance music from different parts of the world. The result is four sharply-defined club workouts unique to DJ Polo that balance tension and release, flair and subtlety and a consistent physical weight true to Livity’s emphasis on soundsystem suitability.

EtherwerkZ is back with "Ascension Vol. 2", the leftfield-infused second volume of their VA series, once again serving up high vibrational frequencies to create that magic transcendental dance floor experience.


The compilation kicks off with a heavy, raw halftime/bass-hole riddim from Bristol Amity collective's unstoppable Soundboy Elpac, who has delivered nothing but fire output in 2024

Xen Chron returns to the label with his Xenology-influenced style, sounding something like a 2-stepish take on Autechre remixing a track by Stinson's legendary Transllusion project, perfectly exemplifying his USA - UK relation and connection.

UK bass first team player Product Toss keeping game deep and rolling, but a bit more percussive and bassy, preparing the road perfect for the late night driving in Kid Kun-s German whip with his sub-loaded darkside stepper.

Mexico City's exciting underground club scene don Octoptic delivers an idm-ish technoid breakbeat weapon, ideal for late-night club workoutz.

Tokyo's Albino Sound continues the frequency invasion via his experimental street-style psychedelic techno, of course with key elements from the UK bass sound and scene (the foundation of this subterranean compilation).

Then, label top boy Iggy presents his new project "EssΞncƎ". A 2-step, warp-drive bass-powered journey to outer space, somehow dark and ethereal at the same time with an ambient Lee Gamble-style outro as well as a powerful message via TikTok!

On closing duty, Hungarian sound artist Audio Compression provides ambient bliss therapy for listeners' minds, slowly sinking into ethereal depths, taking us to new levels of this magic ascension.


Massive shouts to all the soundboys and the rest of the fam for making all this happen. The truth is out once again!
