Jon Gurd and Reset Robot release their new EP ‘Ashen’ on Anjunadeep.

A respected selector and producer, Jon released his debut album ‘Lion' on Anjunadeep and followed with ‘Phoenix’ in 2022, which showcased his impeccable production style, and gained him praise from tastemakers including Joris Voorn, Lane 8, Eelke Kleijn and Ida Engberg. In this EP, Jon collaborates with Portsmouth based DJ and producer Dave Robertson, aka Reset Robot, who has released on Get Physical, Soma, and Adam Beyer's Drumcode in the past and gained support from Amelie Lens, Solomun and Tale Of Us.

Title track ‘Ashen’ was recently featured on the label’s flagship #1 dance album ‘Anjunadeep 14’, and debuted during James Grant & Jody Wisternoff’s DJ Set from Malta which has amassed over 500k views and supported on SiriusXM Chill.

The debut artist album of eleven.five, the Virginia native who we affectionately know as Eric Fox, has truly been a lifetime in the making. We, at Silk Music, have had the privilege of co-piloting the last five years of eleven.five's musical journey, as his memorable lead themes and innovative grooves have found their way into the hands of Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, and various other esteemed international purveyors of house, progressive, and trance. His triumphant "When People Become Numbers" artist album continues to showcase his immense musical creativity and versatility. Iain's original compositions are filled with lyricism and musicality, his use of live instruments and field recordings are just another indication of his creativity and skill. Having shared the stage with recognised acts such as Bob Moses, Jacques Greene and Jay Tripwire, it's clear that Iain's stock is on the rise. 

'To Forget' is quite simply a stunning introduction into the young producers vision. The aforementioned live instruments and field recordings are intertwined with layers of pads, drums, hazy chords and vocals, coupled with psychedelic sounds that draw you in and take you on an atmospheric filled journey. Kidnap is an artist whose music overflows with emotion - rich and powerfully evocative.

Recording in London, Kidnap (real name Matthew Relton) likens his process to that of a sculptor, starting with a block of sound and chopping away until a shape emerges. As such, each song exists ornately carved with a handcrafted subtly.

Still just 33, Relton is already something of an industry veteran. Releasing his first single in 2012 kicked off an eight-year stretch of global touring that came to a grinding halt when the pandemic put the world on pause.

2024 marks a new chapter for Kidnap, with his next body of work on the horizon. Set against the backdrop of a changing world and the arrival of a baby daughter, Relton offers a bittersweet reflection on the passing of time. ‘It’s about looking back on the last 12 years — the touring and the friends and the sleeplessness,” says Relton, “and realising that in order to embrace the life I have now, I need to let it all go.’ The music shimmers with nostalgia. Signature sad melodies dance deftly around commanding synth lines, altogether sounding like an artist with a new found sense of purpose.
