This album is G’Day G’Day which is the fifth part of the project of Australian music and another tribute album to Australian Bands and Artists. The 1st volume is called Sounds of Then...This is Australia, the 2nd volume is True Blue, the 3rd volume is called Howzat and the 4th volume is called Down Under.

There were great Australian Bands and Artists whose music I loved right from my early teens…I have picked songs that have had a connection with me and always wanted to do my own ‘cover versions’…So there are songs across the generations from 1969 to 2015 which covers many bands and artists, so something for everyone...

The title song ‘G’Day G’Day’ (Slim Dusty) (1988) is a popular Australian Folk song that gives an authentic theme of Australian country music. Other Australian country songs on this album include ‘Raining On The Plains’ (John Williamson) (2002), ‘I Love You So Rebecca’ (Johnny Chester) (2003) and ‘People Like Us’ (Lee Kernaghan) (2009) to delight country music fans... 

‘Picking Up Pebbles’ (Mat Flinders) (1969) is a former singer and TV presenter who rose to prominence in the late 1960s in Australia and the song is an old favourite of mine, so hope you enjoy this nostalgic melody.

There are a few songs from the seventies that include ‘Open Up Your Heart’ (G. Wayne Thomas) (1973), ‘Blue Jeans’ (Skyhooks) (1976), ‘Lady’ (Little River Band) (1978), ‘So Many Paths’ (Little River Band) (1978) and ‘I'm Coming Home’ (Beeb Birtles & Graeham Goble) (1979). So, hope you enjoy these oldies as well...

The eighties hits include ‘I Got You’ (Split Enz) (1980), ‘Chemistry’ (Mondo Rock) (1981), ‘Maxine’ (Sharon O'Neill) (1983), ‘Don't Dream It's Over’ (Crowded House) (1986), ‘Mystify’ (Inxs) (1987). So, something for the eighty’s fans...

Two hits for the ninety’s fans in ‘Throw Your Arms Around Me’ (Hunters and Collectors) (1990) and ‘October Grey’ (Screaming Jets) (1997) which has an accompanying music video and included the links below. So, hope you enjoy these hits as well...
 
From 2000 onwards includes the country songs mentioned above and ‘Standing On The Outside’ (Cold Chisel) (2007), ‘If You Love Someone’ (The Veronicas) (2014) and ‘I'd Go With You Anywhere’ (Birds of Tokyo) (2015), which also has an accompanying music video. So, something for the modern generation of fans...
