K@R Intro

Kids@Recess is a Chicago land Hip Hop group that consist of four members. RobbieBtheName, Chris $teezy, It Kid, and Lil Chris. Although they've known each other since childhood and have always loved music they came together with the pure purpose to create a brand new sound for the people to love. Established in the summer of 2011 they have already been receiving great feedback on their music and gaining a rising buzz in the mid-west area. They have done numerous shows in the Chicago land area and have even been featured on WindyCityUnderground.com along with Chicago's top Hip Hop blogs. Kids@Recess is a brand that is based from the love and fun of Hip-Hop such as, Cyphers on the Playground, and cafeteria freestyles. The K@R movement is on the rise in Chicago Hip-Hop and is changing the scene day by day hard work will pay of for these guys and they will be Chicago lands top Hip-Hop Group to follow in 2013 and years to come.

THE MEMBERS!

Robbie Arthur Babington (Robbie B the Name) has been writing and recording music since he was 11 years old. He is constantly looking out for others and speaks from the heart especially in his lyrics. Life has thrown Robbie a few curve balls, and at the age of 10, Robbie witnessed the only home he has ever known come to an end during a bitter foreclosure. This had really pushed Robbie to start writing music, he was going through a tough time as a kid and felt that music was his only outlet. He has overcome tragic situations by looking at life's inspirations, music turned into a spoken passion for him. He has performed all over the Midwest area opening up for big names such as Asher Roth, and J Cole, and has successfully finished two albums "Play Copy Pass" and "Everyone's An Artist".

Christopher J. Cox (Chris $teezy) Grew up traveling all around the United States with his dad being in the military. He finally settled down in the North Suburbs of Chicago. Threw tough times music was always an outlet to help his mind stay off his life's harsh reality. His older brother influenced him to become skilled behind the 1's and 2's and had a great ear for music. He then got heavily involved in music when he met Robbie B, they grew up in the same town and met playing on the local baseball team. Him and Robbie inspired each other to push music to the next level and decided to do a midwest tour together. Rocking crowds all over the midwest, people were falling in love with the music Since then they had included their good friends and artists The It-Kid and Lil Chris and established Kids@Recess.

Darryl A Downing (The It-Kid) Grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Always having love for music he started producing and rapping at the age of 16. Always feeling that there was something more for him than the streets of San Francisco he set out to make a name for himself in music and ended up in the North Suburbs of Chicago. The It-Kid found work at the local studio, pushing instrumentals out for other local artists and continued to make a name for himself. While working his part time job at a hardware store he ran into Chris $teezy. They became great friends and The It-Kid became a part of the k@r team.

Christopher Wenzel (Lil Chris) also grew up in the North Suburbs of Chicago. He started rapping his Freshman year of h.s. with Robbie B the Name. Their friendship eventually turned into the passion and love for music. From rocking the local h.s. talent shows to rocking Chicago's biggest crowds. Lil Chris provides a different style to the k@r team by delivering dope punchlines and sick metaphors. Although Music is one of his biggest loves, he is also in love, and has a beautiful 4 year old daughter. He plans to take music to the next level with the k@r team and provide for his family.
