We are The Immediate, a three-piece band from Mold in north Wales. We have released a critically acclaimed album, two EP’s and a single, receiving airplay and support from Tom Robinson on BBC 6Music, Janice Long, BBC Introducing, Chris Needs on BBC Radio Wales and from a host of excellent independent radio shows and blogs (Louder Than War, Sweeping The Nation, The Breakdown, Music Is My Radar, Neil Crud).

Our new single, ‘With The Fireflies’, is OUT NOW as a download (bandcamp / iTunes) / and to stream via Spotify etc. 

‘With The Fireflies’ is a brand new song written as a tribute of my (Adam’s) dad, who died in July, and had been hugely supportive of the band, regardless of our limitations and despite some of the questionable decisions we made. He was aghast, for example, that we cut short a paid residency that we had in Saint Tropez in the early 90’s; he just couldn’t comprehend why we’d give up the sun and money to return to a life on the dole, in drizzly, grey Mold, and he was -of course- absolutely right.

‘With The Fireflies’ is not intended to be mawkish or exploitative. My dad encouraged us, and instilled his passion for music into me, and ‘With The Fireflies’ is a musical echo of many of those artists that I grew up listening to: Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, particularly.

The song details a memory from an ad hoc family holiday to Tuscany when I was young. This wasn’t quite the supremely comfortable, middle class holiday experience that Tuscany usually evokes: there was a harem scarem drive across Europe in a borrowed Maxi; nights in windblown tents, and - of course - fireflies.
 We have just played their final gig of 2017 and will spend the end of the year writing for, and recording, our next EP, due for release early in 2018.

AVA IN THE DARK are where angelic vocals meet experimental guitar, punchy drums, shimmering synths, and fuzzy basslines.
Hailing from North Wales, based in Leeds, AVA IN THE DARK features vocalist/guitarist Kiera and bassist/synth player Tommie.
AVA IN THE DARK’s sound is the perfect storm of ice-cold goth colliding with sumptuous new pop. The debut EP is a glimpse into
the soul of lead-singer, Kiera. It’s about mental health in adolescence, people-pleasing, social pressures, and self-love, presented in
a nostalgic era-bound frame, sometimes ironically. Inspired by the music of her childhood, aka Wolf Alice, The 1975, London
Grammar, and Lana Del Ray, the EP mixes current influences such as Pale Waves, Billie Eilish, The 1975, Melanie Martinez, and

BABY STRANGE release new single ‘Club Sabbath’, made for the dancefloor of their legendary Club Sabbath night
Glasgow trio Baby Strange are back with a bang in 2021 as they unveil their latest single, the grittily vibrant ‘Club Sabbath’. Vocalist and guitarist Johnny Madden says of the future dancefloor filler: “When we wrote this track we instantly knew we wanted to name it after our club night. It sounds like it was made for a dancefloor. This is one of our favourite songs to date and we can’t wait for people to hear it.

We’re missing Club Sabbath more than ever right now. We started it in 2015 at The Priory on Sauchiehall St in Glasgow and we’ve hosted some really memorable parties. It’s a community spirit with loads of like-minded people. We’ve had live performances or DJ sets from people like Fontaines D.C, Wolf Alice, DMA’s, The Chats, The Magic Gang, Nick Allbrook (Pond) & The Dunts to name a few. The government needs to support independent venues during Covid or there will be nowhere left for new artists to cut their teeth and grow. It’s really important that small venues like The Priory survive through this for that very reason.”
