Mal’s distinctive voice has being compared to the great soul singers of the 60’s and 70’s ( Stevie Wonder/Marvin Gaye/ John Martyn,this coupled with his awe inspiring songwriting out stretches the realm of singer songwriter and has gained him much respect within the Irish music scene.
