Snow Ghosts is the collaboration between Throwing Snow, aka Ross Tones, and vocalist Augustus Ghost, aka Hannah Cartwright.  In 2013, they released their critically acclaimed debut full-length LP ‘A Small Murmuration’ on Houndstooth, and were named The Guardian’s ‘New Band of the Day’, Zane Lowe’s ‘Next Hype’, and have played a live acoustic session on Dermot O’Leary’s BBC Radio 2 show.

‘Secret Garden’, the third single from the album, is an atmospheric, melancholic production that perfectly melds Ross’ love of chaos theory and Hannah’s earthy propensity for nature. Iconoclastic producer Matthew Herbert provides his delicately off-kilter 'Wash It All Away Remix', while avant-garde producer Richard Skelton offers up an unforgettable ambient drone re-work. 

Black Acre's Blue Daisy features on the album version of 'Covenant', and he returns here with Hey!Zeus under the Dahlia Black collective to round out the EP with a raw, horror-core influenced hip-hop remix.

In these fastmoving times, where many acts come and go in the space of a few blog posts, it's becoming harder and harder to find artists with true staying power. Anu Pillai aka Freeform Five is one of those rare artists. Following an impressive series of originals & remixes and productions for artists like Ladyhawke, Santigold, Lana Del Rey and Little Boots, he returned to the scene with ‘Weltareh’, a collaboration with Gambian griot and master musician Juldeh Camara. On ‘Leviathan’ Freeform Five teams up with the legendary Róisín Murphy for an exercise in irresistible vocal power and anthemic, feel good appeal. Tom Trago delivers an incarnation of ‘Leviathan’ that highlights the shimmering synths and melodies and puts the funk edge and drum beats centre stage. Cage & Aviary provide a slice of dirty electro tech in their remix teeming with solid claps and bleeps and FX.

One of the youngest DJs on the Belgian DJ circuit, Maxime Firket aka Compuphonic soon moved onto the international scene with a release on Tiga’s Turbo Recordings. Further releases came on other highly acclaimed labels including Get Physical, Modular, Darkroom Dubs, Systematic Recordings, 2020 Vision and Parquet Recordings. On his ‘Leviathan’ remix, Compuphonic injects a playful bounce into the soaring sonics of the original melody.

South London based Cage & Aviary provide a slice of dirty electro tech in their remix teeming with solid claps and bleeps and FX. The duo started off with releases on the much acclaimed Dissident Distribution and have since appeared on DFA, Tiny Sticks, Astro Lab and Prins Thomas' Internasjonal label. They also run their own label The Walls Have Ears. 

Tom Trago delivers two incarnations of ‘Leviathan’ firstly a dub version that highlights the shimmering synths and melodies and puts the funk edge and drum beats centre stage. His remix closing the package reintroduces Róisín’s unforgettable voice. Tom Trago is one of the Netherland’s finest producers and is the most prominent artist on Amsterdam institution Rush Hour Recordings, his third album came out on the label October last year and he also curates the offshoot label series Voyage Direct.

In these fast-moving times, where many acts come and go in the space of a few blog posts, it's becoming harder and harder to find artists with true staying power. Anu Pillai aka Freeform Five is one of those rare artists.

Following an impressive series of original productions & remixes and a relentless touring schedule, Anu decided to take a break from Freeform Five a few years back to concentrate on writing, producing & remixing for the likes of Ladyhawke, Santigold, Lana Del Rey, Little Boots and Roisin Murphy amongst others.

Anu has always thought outside the box. His remix of Isolee's Beau Mot Plage redefined the art of remixing, juxtaposing the micro-synthesis of the original with intricate Afro & Latin polyrhythms, creating a bonafide house music classic. Now Anu has come full circle, collaborating with Gambian griot and master musician Juldeh Camara (a member of Robert Plant's Sensational Space Shifters band) for his latest release Weltareh on the legendary Eskimo recordings. As a multi instrumentalist, composer, DJ  and producer, Anu can skillfully meld the organic musicianship of Juldeh's Fulanese riti (a one string violin) and kologo with his own studied electronic experimentation and guitar playing – as one listen to this truly epic track will attest.

Prins Thomas joins the the stellar list of super talented artists who've been invited to remix Freeform Five tracks (following on from Tiefschwarz, Radioslave, Lindstrom, Mylo, M.A.N.D.Y, Ewan Pearson, Jackson & His Computer Band and Maurice Fulton to name a few) along with a stunning re-work from Anu himself alongside Glasgow Underground's Kevin Mckay.
