This EP captures the mental warfare, spiritual pressure, and emotional exhaustion behind building Avodah Dynamics—a vision formed in prayer, refined through resistance, and sustained by faith when results were slow and affirmation was absent.

These songs are not performances; they are admissions.
Late-night thoughts wrestled into submission.
Doubts spoken honestly.
Faith chosen daily, not effortlessly.

Confessions walks through the internal journey of a builder—navigating fear, responsibility, surrender, grace, and resolve. From battling the mind (Mind Games), to owning personal fault (I Know It’s Me), to releasing control (My Way), to encountering mercy (Still You Stayed), and finally standing firm in obedience (If They Don’t Hear Me, When the World Tells You No).

This project exists for anyone creating something God placed in them—while feeling unseen, unheard, and stretched beyond comfort. It speaks to the quiet perseverance required when the world says “no,” progress feels invisible, and the only affirmation comes from knowing God hears you.

Confessions is not about success.
It’s about faithfulness.

If the world doesn’t hear us—
God does.

Following her previously released EP "31", Kiilanda continues to deliver in the lane of soulful, hip-hop music with her latest single "I Need You". While speaking on relevant topics such as race, depression, and our everyday relationships, "I Need You" gives the listener something to vent from the soul through a pure and wholesome vibe.  This track not only gives the listener a nostalgic feel of 70's funk and soul vibes, but it also shows that hip-hop is continuing to change its shape. 

"I Need You" is one of many musical trinkets that Kiilanda will be releasing up until her newly anticipated EP "Colors" drops (date TBA).

According to Rolling Stones, 1988 was Hip Hop’s greatest year. Not only was the nation taken by storm with 15 of the most notable hip hop albums, but it was the birth year of Kiilanda Hicks (formerly known as Sneek). October 23 1988, two months after the release of NWA’s Straight Outta Compton...the album that made rap explode, we were graced with another soon-to-become Hip Hop genius. Born into a military family, Kiilanda had the luxury of world travel at a young age. From the US to Japan, Kiilanda’s musical influences are vast. In 2002, she narrowly escaped a life threatening illness that left her without the ability to walk, talk or feed herself. Doctors saw little hope and were confident she would be lucky to survive this horrific series of events. Yet here we are 17 years later and aside from a scar that adorns her neck, Kiilanda appears unscathed. Her love of music and poetry rehabilitated her in ways doctors could never comprehend. The art of hip hop expression and the world of formal education are fully intertwined for Kiilanda. She is a prolific songwriter, producer, lyricist and self proclaimed “audio geek”. Threads of jazz, and R&B will always be found weaved throughout her music. Her fun, cool, and edgy sound calls to mind rappers like Missy Elliot, Lizzo, and Chance the Rapper. Yet her musicality oozes influences of Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Dre and Snoop. Kiilanda stays on her grind, opening for artists such as E-40, Lupe Fiasco, Miguel and The Jacka; while also performing at major events like Oakland Pride and the U.S. Junior Olympics. A lover of all things music, her dial is fully set and she is about to explode.
