Selador continues to strain every sinew to play their part. This year, Selador have toasted ten rotations round the sun at parties in London, Berlin, Denver and Amsterdam… The label have birthed magnificent merch, special editions of ye old magic black plastic and musical firecrackers a-plenty…and of course atop the whole b’day cake, has been their Decade series, which throughout the last few months has commemorated this significant milestone.

Eine Reise Zu Zweit translates into English as A Trip for Two, and who better to be your guide down the sonic highway than these two esteemed stalwarts of the scene? It broods and it burbles as it shifts through the gears, the perfect accompaniment for your next dance floor or autobahn adventure. Buckle up.

The other exciting collaborations on Selador’s final instalment of their 10th Anniversary celebration EPs, Selador Decade EP5, comes from Steve Parry x Mario Franca x Captain Mustache ‘Nuvem’, Bebetta x Smash TV 'Hold On’, and Charles Webster x Ursula Rucker ‘Begin Anew’.

London-based producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Kiimi is an artist that has applied their conventional understanding of composition, to a wholly unconventional output. A classically trained musician, they have broken onto the electronic music scene adapting customary practices to deliver a totally unique avenue within dance.

Their breakout debut 'Breaking My Mind” released via the iconic imprint Hotflush was an expertly executed exercise in restraint and control. Featuring the self titled track along side "Ritual" and a Jacques Greene remix, the hypnotic club EP showed an adept knowledge of dancefloor culture. The EP received acclaim from artists such as Jamie XX, Jaguar and Sasha, whilst BBC Radio1's Jack Saunders proclaimed Kiimi as 'the future of electronic music’.

Following on from this in November of 2021 Kiimi released their most accomplished work to date in the form of the two tracks ‘Trust' and 'Lanzarote Howl' which for the first time showcase their songwriting prowess, crafting electronic euphoria with a real emotional connection. The releases was again supported by the likes of HAAI, Scuba, Jamz Supanova and The Blessed Madonna, with the latter picking Kiimi as one of her artists to watch in 2022 on her BBC6Music show. 

Further to their production output, Kiimi who identifies as non-binary, has created the online network Hunni Sound. It is a platform for femme-identifying, non-binary and trans music producers & creators within audio tech. Partnering with Shoreditch House and Dalston Superstore   the collective has hosted a series of events and aims to expand into workshops for the growing Hunni Sound community moving forward.

Kiimi has set out an impressive marker for their talents so early into their career.They are already providing evidence of why they're one of dance music's most prodigious emerging talents. The stage is set for Kiimi's impact to extend into clubs and beyond over the next 12 months.
