Kijani, is an all-girl Pop and RnB duo from Nairobi, Kenya, comprising of twins Caroline and Elizabeth Njuguna

The members currently college students in Nairobi, took an interest in music from a young age. At the end of 2010, they decided to turn what used to be a hobby into a career. They were signed to Cypher Studios, Nairobi and soon embarked on their musical journey.

Kijani’s music is a reflection of the member’s lives, girl power but at the same time enjoyable music with a positive message. 

Kijani's E.P "Hard and Smooth", comprising five songs was released in mid-October 2010 to positive reviews. In commemoration of World Aids Day 2010, the band released a Swahili HIV/AIDS awareness song "Utamwambia Aje". In 2011, Kijani released "Wataka Nini", a vibrant dancehall track, and 'Breakout' which were well received in East Africa. In late December 2012, 'Live it up' featuring reggae artist Levysill was released.

The duo is currently working on their debut album which blends Kenyan and international influences to create a unique and catchy sound. The album is produced by the Beatmekah of Cypher Studios, Nairobi and is scheduled for release in 2013.
