Spaß beiseite: Hier hörst du unser erstes Album BADABOOM!, das wir im Sommer 2014 im Stuttgarter Hard Drive Sound Studio mit Roland Böffgen (EMPOWERMENT, HELL&BACK, PESSIMISTIC LINES u.v.m.) aufgenommen haben. Track 5 und 6 entstanden bereits bei einer Session 2012 im Innerear Tonstudio Pforzheim mit Thomas Mrochen am Mischpult. Gemastered wurden alle Tracks im Herbst 2014 von Jürgen Hendlmeier (THE FLAMING SIDEBURNS, TUSQ, BABY WOODROSE u.v.m.) auf der kleinen Insel Hailuoto/Finnland, der mit seiner Liebe zu analoger Technik und skandinavischem Hörgefühl aus jedem Track das Maximum herausgekitzelt hat.

Jeder Song auf BADABOOM! erzählt eine Geschichte – vom Kampf mit dem Alltag (und davon, in diesem nicht unterzugehen), von Kleptomanie-Anfällen, vom Durchhalten und Weiterleben oder einfach von der letzten Sauftour. English Lyrics mit viel Selbstironie, viel Melodie, viel Power - kleine und größere Punk-Rock-Hymnen, stilistisch vielleicht irgendwo zwischen den frühen BEATSTEAKS und der späten SMITH STREET BAND, DISCO ENSEMBLE und BAD RELIGION.

KILL VALMER sind vier Freunde aus Stuttgart, die seit 	2010 zusammen Punk Rock spielen und dabei eine sehr, sehr gute Zeit haben. Egal ob Full-Set im Wohnzimmer vor 20 dicht-gedrängten Freunden oder auf Uni-Partys, den eigenen vollen Shows im Goldmarks, Kap Tormentoso oder im Proberaum, auf Tour in Süd-deutschland (2013 und 2014) oder auf einer von zahlreichen Support-Shows (unter anderem für die COBRA SKULLS, BARB WIRE DOLLS, RENO DIVORCE, TEENAGE BOTTLE-ROCKET, SWINGING UTTERS oder THE STATIC AGE). 2012 haben wir eine 7-Inch namens SHIPWRECKED ver-öffentlicht, 2013 ein sehr lustiges Video auf tape.tv zu No One Else, Track 6 auf BADABOOM!

Jetzt suchen wir in einem Label Unterstützung dabei, die Scheibe mit uns zusammen in die Welt zu schleudern und BADABOOM! zum Leben zu erwecken. Unterstützung kann dabei alles sein vom guten Ratschlag über Booking und Management bis zur Partnerschaft in der Vinyl/CD-Produktion und Vertrieb - Wir sind für alle Vorschläge offen. Hauptsache es knallt bald.

Mission Statement

Dropped down amongst the knobs and dials of Penguin Studio in San Diego, rogue avatars Justin Pearson and Luke Henshaw have created a new project in the form of Planet B, with the shared purpose of creating music both mischievous in sound and sobering in message.
The first artifact from the preternatural duo comes in the form of this “Wrong Utopia” 7” single. Featuring two tracks, both can be heard almost as otherworldly anthems: catchy, heavily percussive, and eerie all at once. Pearson sneers lyrics that present the viewpoint of an outsider looking on at his surroundings: “Sell a good bad luck charm/ watch them hurt their own arm/ shaking their bloody fist/ in the world of the nihilist,” seemingly uninterested in taking part and instead deciding that “’Tween the moth and the web, I’ll make a new landmark.” This is interspersed with Henshaw’s fantastical sci-fi accompaniments: whistling UFO vibrato, dark and distorted electrical hums, and marching band drum beats. Basically, “Wrong Utopia” has all the makings of your next interdimensional earworm.
Side 2 of the single, “Join a Cult”, has a more foreboding sound, a sort of thunderous and creepy call to arms. This is in large part due to the booming drums, live wire buzzes, and digital echoes that brings to mind an oncoming swarm of mechanical insects headed straight for the song’s settings of burning houses and dry fields, “the one without a view”. This is all punctuated by whimsical bells that are unsettling in the context of the song, much in the same way that hearing a child singing in a horror movie is.
