A 4-crew link-up for the ages... Semtex Sound System x Brothers Records Sound System x Brazen Records x Singularity UK packed out the Green Works venue in Bristol for an incredible night of UK underground music. Featuring 2 massive stacks of pro audio, with 14 subs total, and mesmerising lighting & visuals, Green Works got a full makeover for this event. Appropriately titled 'The Bass Effect', and its easy to see why: 5 hours of non-stop bass absolutely hooning from corner to corner. 

Talented DJs on the night included: Cheetah, Colonel Groove, Dempz, Eminence, Full:Tone, Janhu, Janaway, Seretonin, Silva Snipa & The Bass Injector. Collectively, they played a range of genres from Old Skool Garage to Hardcore to Techstep Drum & Bass.

Skippin' Rope Recordings get themselves down for a 2 hour takeover featuring head honcho Fallow alongside Jenny Sparks & dirtywavez - we personally loved Fallow’s set at Corsica for Singularity a few weeks ago and been dying to get him and the crew on. As the tshirt says: “the goofier the sound effects, the better the bassline” and you can definitely expect some hard hitting squelchy ass bassline!

Singularity, the Rhythm and Dance Specialists, have been key playaz in the resurgence of the Old Skool in recent years. As a crew, they had humble beginnings, putting on events at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington, The Grow in Tottenham and Bar 512 in Dalston, yet, fast forward 5 years and wow how far things have come; from stage takeovers at Boomtown, Glastonbury and Outlook festivals, to international raves, to pioneering brand new genres like Racket, and bringing back the old genres like Darkside DnB. Singularity have supported and pushed countless fresh faces and continue to be a driving force behind exciting music. To celebrate their 5 year anniversary, Singularity took over SET Vault in Woolwich, powered by the incredible Semtex Soundsystem. Previous Genesis parties were headlined by 4AM Kru, DJ Flight, Nectax and more. 

This time round, a super heavy 3 room layout was created, each room with various flavours and genres. Artists on the night included Fracture, Fixate, Mixtress, OS:MAN, Sexy Lady Massive, and more, as well as loads of local underground crew takeovers. Killahertz was lucky enough to film the Vinyl only DnB room, featuring none other than legends DJ Storm, DJ Mantra, MC Blackeye as well as Silva Snipa, Mina, Notorious Steppaz, Burna Records and SKYWALKA.
