Title track from the CD "Open Doerr". In 2014, I commissioned a guitar built by master luthier Tom Doerr. After receiving the guitar (pictured), I worked through the next year to produce an instrumental CD of original tunes on this guitar as a way to pay tribute to this amazing instrument built with Lucky Strike Redwood and Cocobolo.

Track 8 in "Ephéméries" (2023) by Alex M: composed, played, arranged, edited and recorded by Alex M in GarageBand iOS and Logic Pro X on 28-29 March 2021 as acoustic guitar version; all instruments in this extended orchestral version were added, arranged, edited, recorded and mixed on 5 August 2023 in Logic Pro; posted on SoundCloud on 16 August 2023 (before the release of the album as a whole).

Ephémérie 5 (Extended Orchestral)

I've taken the old blues mythology of riding the freight trains, but set it in outer space. Loosely based on the death cult Heaven's Gate. They left their earthly bodies in 1997 to join a spaceship hiding inside comet. Psychedelic blues in a "Roky Erickson and the Aliens" style.
