Berlin-based artist Werner Soyeaux under his stage name Bläck Dävil is a core part of the Berlin collective Ick Mach Welle. Schnäll Schnäll is his debut solo artist EP on Killekill, with own productions accompanied by collaborations with Bettina and DJ Normal 4, alongside remixes by Rhyw and Gesloten Cirkel. The EP opens with the dark intro Alptraum, which Gesloten Cirkel transforms into an ill-tempered acid-electro monster. The title track Schnäll Schnäll provides a stark contrast to these, with bright overtones existing alongside deeply rooted sonic bedrock. Rhyw adds a level of abstraction and futurism with his remix of this track, whilst retaining the dub-influenced vibe of the original. Following on from this Geldschere is collaboration with Düsseldorf artist DJ Normal 4, with Bläck Dävil contributing his own lyrics and voice, to create a track that could be fittingly described as “Acid Punk Rock”! The final track on the release is a cheeky ode to the Ick Mach Welle family. Here the Dävil's passion for Hardtekk, Gabber and similar rough styles of music become clear.

Wellen.Brecher is an electronic band with punk attitude, which has been transcending and subverting electronic music genre boundaries for the past 6 years. After the release of "Tierisch Verboten", which can confidently be described as the “soundtrack to inclusion”, and a strong second release on our label Killekill, LIEBESERKLÄRUNG is the band's first full-length album. Including a series of first-class remixes.
Refreshingly, the entire release is not based on the corny bad trance traditions loved by contemporary Buffalo shoe wearers. Instead - intentionally or not - it follows a series of almost historical musical quotations from over the last 40 years with each track on the album feeling like a new adventure.
The album opens with TÜRÖFFNER, which has a kind of an Afrika Bambaataa intro, before turning into a wonderfully tresoresque/Detroit techno beast, always commented on or counteracted by the vocals - just like (almost) all the tracks on the album: a new round, a new crazy ride - bumper car lyrics on a powerful stomping reduction of a 90s track.
From here we leap backwards in time into grey West Berlin of the 80s with ROBOT GIRL which shifts and drifts like a bug in buttermilk somewhere between Grauzone and Alan Vega. Next track KAPUTT kicks in with a bang and smashes everything in the best EBM tradition - this could have been played in a techno club in Frankfurt, both in terms of lyrics and sound. Line up for Elektropogo please!
After all the stomping Wellen.Brecher bring in something completely different with VOICE OF A GENERATION: dramatic vocals over delicate breaks which gradually dissolve into arpeggios on a high-quality trance carpet. Challenge complete!
JULIA takes us back to the late eighties in the dark but fun Belgian-Detroit early trance with new beat appeal. TUNNEL TRANCE would have been a good fit for dancing around the Berlin Siegessäule in, let's say, 1998. Relentless 4/4 beats with a hook-line on speed surrounded by acidophilic bows and, on top, the vocal commentary arriving as if from the man behind the glass of the Ferris wheel. In your mind's eye, you can see fur-shoed gym ravers in bright neon jumping through the Tiergarten like rubber balls.
The cover version of the classic TECHNO DJ is an homage to good old punk - torn apart and reassembled in true Wellen.Brecher style. The closer TIERISCH VERBOTEN brings all the emotion rushing back: fat beats beckon slowly from afar, before the curtain comes up for an epic synth finale.
The harsh, albeit true words really drive you in. It's not necessary, but perhaps it's good to point it out: Inclusion can easily be experienced with music like this. Fuck AfD!

Wellen.Brecher - Liebeserklärung

Recorded live at About Blank on 23.08.2019, Cork Bangers is the DJ & Production alias of KilleKill boss DJ Flush and Irish DJ/Producer + KilleKIll resident Jamie Behan. Formed out of an impromptu back to back set at Griessmuehle in 2016, a mutual love for the humour & booty shaking rhythms of ghetto house, as well as banging techno, they have released music together on KilleKill & Krake with lots more to come. In the meantime here they are with some badass jacking and pounding techno and some unreleased cuts of their own for good measure.

We are delighted to welcome Wes Baggaley to the Killekill Podcast series with this killer uptempo, wild but funky mix of techno and electro. 
A self confessed vinyl addict, Wes has been familiar to promoters, record store staff and clubbers in the UK and in recent years has become a familiar face to a much wider audience. 
From 2016 to 2020, @wes-baggaley played some of the best regarded underground parties across Europe including the legendary Panoramabar and the esteemed Robert Johnson in Frankfurt, as well as other clubs & events across Germany,  Czech Republic, Russia, Switzerland , Hungary, Romania, and Holland. 
Alongside features in several leading dance music publications, Wes has live-streamed sets for Mixmag's The Lab, Red Light Radio in Amsterdam, an extremely well received Boiler Room, and held a residency on Rinse FM from 2017 to 2021. He can currently be found playing everything from dark ambient, noise and industrial to techno, electro and breaks on Netil Radio.

Still writing and DJing out across the globe, everything from jacking acid, classic techno, funk, hardcore, hip-hop, and of  course his most notorious speciality genre: Old Skool Rave – Mark Archer is a resident at London’s I Love Acid, and also a regular guest at top music events such as Bangface, BLOC Weekend, Sonar Festival, Fantazia, and many more…

KILLEKILL PODCAST #16: MARK ARCHER (recorded live at Suicide Circus on july, 27th, 2013)

The new podcast in our series comes from the great DJ BORIS, recorded live at the Killekill 015 record release/10 years of Pacotek party on november 22nd, 2013. 
DJ Boris is kind of a charismatic, multifunctional weapon in the Berlin club life. His musical roots reach back to the mid 80s, when he lived in New York for four years where he absorbed the unique spirit of the seminal club Paradise Garage weekend after weekend. From the Club’s mentor Larry Levan Boris learned to believe in his musical intuition as well as a broad musical spectrum, which nowadays ranges from Disco, Hi-NRG, Post-Punk and (Kraut-) Rock to House and Techno, all of which Boris loves to throw into one set. „Music was most important for Levan. He was uncompromising and he knew how to convey it. That’s what I’m trying to achieve, too, when I’m djing.“

Many years later, Boris became a resident at Panorama Bar’s first incarnation in Berlin, where he was able to build a loyal following by playing long sets lasting until noon. „The crowd is always a lot more receptive for music at the end than at the beginning. That’s when I rather have the opportunity to present unusual stuff and that’s when I’m able to let my feelings run freely.“
After the old OstGut/Panorama Bar closed, Boris played in almost every club in Berlin, but when the follow up club Berghain opened its doors in 2004, he quickly focused on playing out here again. From 2005 till 2010 he had another musical platform, as he was taking care of the label Careless Records as an A&R. As a DJ, he is not exactly keen on refining a certain genre, but rather to push music with a certain twist.

“Superbrains'' is a showcase for the Berlin-based, inclusive music project Ick Mach Welle, an initiative which has been bringing together musicians, with and without visible disabilities, for the last 5 years. Featuring solo artists and musical collaborations with very different approaches to creating music, this compilation highlights the results of the workshops and mentoring programs provided by Ick Mach Welle throughout these years. The tracks featured on this release range across the musical spectrum from the wildly experimental, to dub and electronica, to driving techno and rave, reflecting the diversity of the participants and the inclusivity of the Ick Mach Welle project. The emotions revealed through the music contained herein provide the listener with an insight into the lives of the people who created them, people whose voices far too often go unheard.
The artwork comes from Brussels artist Elzo Durt, who has provided Killekill with his psychedelic collages several times in recent years.

Following EOMAC’s debut album “Spectre” on Killekill, released earlier this year, here come remixes of the three most outstanding tracks of the album.
TOMMY FOUR SEVEN picked the title track SPECTRE, taking away some of the dense texture of the original, speeding it up a bit and adding some straight-forward percussion to turn the original into a big anthem for the mellow moments on the dancefloor.
Lars Stöwe aka Anstam is using his ANNO STAMM-alias to rip out the distorted bassline of the grimey SU RIDDIM and add some playful bassline variations and some serious 808 business to it to turn it into a peaktime banger with lots of chicago flavour.
AnD do what they do best and turn SHELL OF DARK into a half-tempo stomper that after a while breaks up to a devastating weapon of distorted drums and melodies.

Minimum Syndicat (also known as MS or M-Syndicat) are two musicians from Paris who have been making electronic noise and live performances for decades. They are known for their very unique mix of acid, rave and industrial on the one hand and cinematic, psychedelic, sci-fi landscapes on the other.

They will release their first full length on Killekill on May 10th - what a match for Killekill as a label!

S.C.H.O.R.L. is Minimum Syndicat's first full length album. Like some kind of bleak space opera it tells its story of lonely subaquatic outposts, Soviet droids and mantis-priests gathering. The core is spaced out electro, but it also has elements of techno, doomcore, breakbeat and industrial, one could say. "At this point subgenres are less important than in the past, it's more like the alternative electronic scene against the industry turning techno into moronic money-driven entertainment.“, they say, and right they are, so let's end this here.

The album features two collaborations with French heavyweights Umwelt and Voiron, the artwork comes from the legendary Belgian artist Elzo Durt, who made some of our strongest artworks in the past and who is a fan of Minimum Syndicat himself.

In 2023, Wellen.Brecher’s „Tierisch Verboten“ became some sort of hymn for the movement fighting for inclusion and diversity. „Was muss man denn machen, um dazuzugehören? - what do you have to do to be part of it?“ was the key question of the song. With „KAPUTT“ the band seems to have reached a new level of self-confidence. They aren’t asking for directions anymore, they are taking their place, destroying everything that is and ever has been, making space for the rise of something new. Punk in its purest form - a true strike of liberation.

KAPUTT is going to be part of the album Wellen.Brecher are currently working on, which will be released at the end of 2024. The present single release includes remixes by the master of destruction The Horrorist himself, who turned the original into a 90s rave techno version. Irish canon Senator tweaked and distorted the original until it came out as a mix bred of Major Rush and Green Velvet. Ricci d’Hoyerswerda worked the vocals into a hi-energy ghetto track. JP Toulouse - also member of the Ick Mach Welle crew - delivered an EDMish remix, that will work well on all bigger floors. Peaktime galore! WELLEN.BRECHER is an inclusive band project, currently consisting of Werner Soyeaux aka Bläck Dävil, Uwe Locati aka DJ Locati, Dave Senan aka Senator and Hanni from the German punk band Pisse. With an extensive hardware setup consisting of numerous drum machines, grooveboxes, synthesizers and a microphone, they create something that could be described as experimental rave techno: danceable, but unpredictable at the same time, presented with a large dose of fun and humour.

JP Toulouse - also member of the Ick Mach Welle crew - delivered an EDMish remix, that will work well on all bigger floors. Peaktime galore!

In 2023, Wellen.Brecher’s „Tierisch Verboten“ became some sort of hymn for the movement fighting for inclusion and diversity. „Was muss man denn machen, um dazuzugehören? - what do you have to do to be part of it?“ was the key question of the song. With „KAPUTT“ the band seems to have reached a new level of self-confidence. They aren’t asking for directions anymore, they are taking their place, destroying everything that is and ever has been, making space for the rise of something new. Punk in its purest form - a true strike of liberation.

WELLEN.BRECHER is an inclusive band project, currently consisting of Werner Soyeaux aka Bläck Dävil, Uwe Locati aka DJ Locati, Dave Senan aka Senator and Hanni from the German punk band Pisse. 
With an extensive hardware setup consisting of numerous drum machines, grooveboxes, synthesizers and a microphone, they create something that could be described as experimental rave techno: danceable, but unpredictable at the same time, presented with a large dose of fun and humour.

Bio:
Tigerhead’s musical cognition was long and comprehensive, started almost fifteen years ago in her Czech little hometown where she was at first influenced by a massive punk-avandgarde movement spreading all over her country. With a dash of temperament it took no long to get under this scene’s skin, explore all the impulses and create her own musical projects. First were in her early teenage period, where she’s a singer, songwriter and an occasional guitarist, inspired by several industrial bands. Further she continues over Dada-influenced performance shows as she’s a student of painting and contemporary art. By the time she tries to unite sound with a visual art. The connection with music and fine arts was always her main subject.
Through her focus on avantgarde she dives into a lot of experimental bands mainly created in Berlin as a protest against the political situation. As the regime was a long-lasting issue afflicting her country, that is among many other mainly artistic reasons were her strong connection to the German capital stems from.
At the year of 2010 through her main musical inspirations and experiences she collected, her biggest passion was discovered and aimed to an electronic music. There was a little step to get devoured by collecting records, especially of an old detroit techno and acid. The need to speak through artistic language led her to create her first electronic music compositions, using a lot of industrial sounds as an early influence. She also adds and uses her voice as an alternative instrument. In between she’s expanding her vinyl collection with many old techno treasures and learning the art of mixing. This gets her her first gigs in important clubs all over her homeland. This all was just a small step before moving to Berlin in 2012.
There she has all the initiative and freedom to explore the electronic music scene and history and slowly become a part of it.
Her sets and musical expression is known for wildness and audacity also it’s rawness, sharp and no fear attitude. They’re surprising as much as Tigerhead’s personality is.
All this get’s her to play in Berlin’s and internationally most influential techno clubs such as //:about blank, Arena or Griessmuehle.
It is the year 2017, in her early twenties, already known as a strong persona who exactly knows where to lead musically she fully focuses on a music production of her first EP.
She also joins Berlin based established KILLEKILL which exactly defines her musically.
Tereza R. aka Tigerhead is someone who’s going to provide you through the night with unexpected, who’s gonna let you flow on a smooth mellow minimal sounds when suddenly intervene with sharp acid, which stays in your head and spread around long time after the show. She simply won’t let you calm.

KILLEKILL is proud to present a live recording of an excellent live set of CARL FINLOW to you, recorded at the KILLEKILL ELECTRIX event on 07. October 2011.
To many CARL FINLOW will need no introduction with over almost two decades of pioneering work in electronic music under his belt. With a talent for creating sounds that are ahead of their time and a scarily robot-like ability to communicate with electronic equipment, Carl has created an extensive catalogue of work at the cutting edge of electronic music. And if you don’t believe us just ask the likes of Radiohead, Herbert, Richie Hawtin, Luke Slater, Francois Kevorkian or Andrew Weatherall, they’ll tell you. 
Maybe it is the fact that some of CARL’s major influences are classic artists that he sets his standards so high, citing experimental godfathers Pierre Schaeffer, Varese and Raymond Scott  as his primary sources of inspiration. Or equally it could be artists a little further up the time-line such as Tomita, The White Noise, Yello, Prince, Thomas Dolby and of course Depeche Mode who have helped to set the bar way up high. 
An early interest in making his own music, fostered by his Dad who bought him a Moog at the age of 13, an early mastering of his Sinclair Spectrum computer and a brief stint as keyboard player for John Peel favourites, The Bridewell Taxis, all contributed to bringing Carl to the point where he is today. Perhaps a pivotal moment was the appearance on stage in a full wet suit daubed with florescent paint with the Bridewells, who knows…. it was certainly hot! 
As original visionary and fellow farm-dweller with Ralph Lawson in Leeds’ Rhubarb Triangle throughout the 90s, Carl forged a production partnership with Lawson that took them onto the international stage, remixing Blaze, Fatboy Slim, Jamiroquai, Swag, Swayzak, Josh Wink and Luke Slater. It was during these days of self-confinement in the Farmhouse (making only vital trips across the rhubarb fields to find food) that Random Factor was born and under this guise Carl began recording exclusively for 2020. But not content with one pseudonym, he is the master of disguise, also recording as Silicon Scally, Voice Stealer, IL-EK-TRO, Circle City, Scarletron and more conventionally CARL A FINLOW to give an outlet to the various sides of his musical palette.
Never quite leaving his roots in playing live behind (apart from the wet suit), Carl has developed a superb live set using Ableton Live (indeed, even demonstrating the software at various UK Universities to music students) to take his sounds on the road as Random Factor or Silicon Scally. He has played Japan, USA, Russia, Australia and Europe extensively.

‘Macht Macht Zement’—what does it mean? 80s drums, synths and vocals, almost without context. 
Fallbeil, two soon-to-be men (aka boys), finish tracks at the rate of butchers kneading meatballs. Due to laziness and a lack of technique, everything gets recorded on one track and immediately thrown into the frier. 
Nothing is planned. First up, school detention followed by rough LoFi rap.
The album contains a wide variety of themes; from mailmen to warthogs, from latecomers to sensible conversation, every track is created out of spontaneity. Two very short tracks on this album date back to 1999, when the boys performed as ‘Funky Granatos’ in the local youth centers. Sadly, their performances weren’t successful. Nobody wanted to listen to them and almost every concert ended in mass brawls. 
The track ‘Postman’ comes from the duo’s side project Grand Malheur and was recorded in 2015 in Bronxfeld. More output from this project will appear on various EPs in the near future. 
The album title ‘Macht Macht Zement’ originates from Tom Pötgen. Tom always wanted to throw the sacred hand grenades. We hope he does that right now!

For its tenth anniversary, Killekill decided it is worth to resurrect the main label and bring it back in full effect with another compilation of tracks by our beloved family members, favorite artists and bestest friends. Cat. number 020 was never released, and we thought, this celebratory occasion was perfect to fill that gap, so everything is cleared, and we can step into the next decade.

We start off with a track by MMM, the legendary duo consisting of Fiedel and Errorsmith, known for pushing the boundaries with every of their very rare releases. This one is an extremely simple, but effective weapon to destroy all dancefloors with its slightly loutish appeal. NEIL LANDSTRUMM got together with Brian Rays and produced a bleeper hit with catchy vocals. We don't know who the lyrics refer to, but they definitely express a punky fuck-off attitude, which we are missing a lot nowadays. 
POISIN GREEN on the B-side is an alias of Cassegrain's Alex Tsiridis alias Rhyw, who is also one half of Cassegrain. With "Diamino Butane" he kicks off this new alias, which is meant for the dirtier electro side of his productions, and it's a hit. FLAMINGO OVERLORD is a collab between Killekill label boss Nico Deuster alias DJ Flush and Irish DJ and producer Jamie Behan and here they have come up with an electro track of epic quality.
SWARM INTELLIGENCE has always been part of the Killekill family in some way. We are happy to finally welcome him on our label with one of the dark techno stompers he is known for. Following this is DEZ WILLIAM with "Lord Prophet", undoubtedly, the the hardest track of this compilation. Full stop after that for THE HORRORIST with one of his darkest and probably most spooky tracks ever.
W.H.O.R.E.S is a collab of Killekill boss DJ Flush with one of his personal all-time electronic music heroes Tobias Schmidt. This electro track with a haunting melody, is catching the dark atmosphere of Berlin's winter perfectly. Next is one of our key figures, ALIENATA in cooperation with SYNC 24, one of the realest souls in electronic music and electro in particular. They have produced an electro belter of incredible energy - driving beats, acid bassline, lots of sweeps and fiddles and a voice from outer space. 
MERIMELL is new to us, although she isn't new to the scene. Holding up the quality techno level in Estonia, she has released on DJ Haus' UTTU before, and we are more than happy with that dark, thrusting beast of a bassline over funky beats. Watch her! BOY-8-BIT is not really new to the scene as well. Releases on Boysnoize and Turbo are not on everyone's achievements list, but when he sent us NYX, he was quite new to us. He delivered a fascinating track. It's 100% acid, but not repeating the old acid scheme at all, it sounds totally fresh and unique. Future acid.
THE MOVER, well, what shall we say? After the classics remastered last year, he just released his first album in 16 years on our Boidae imprint. With his sound aesthetics and his independent spirit, he has become an inseperable part of our family, and hence, to this compilation as well. A funky beat, a melody from outer space and his engineering on an unseen level. The last track comes from TIGERHEAD, a young dj and producer from Berlin, who got in touch a while ago and has become an essential part of our family since then. Her "Epilog" consists of a monumental breakbeat, saturated with dubby chords and crowned with her dreamy voice.

Keith Tenniswood a.k.a. RADIOACTIVE MAN is one of our closest friends in music. So asking him for a podcast was a thing that had to happen sooner or later. The man who formerly was one half of the legendry Two Lone Swordsmen is still one of our favourite artists. Especially his album that he released recently on Wang Trax showed his skills in machine funk and melancholy.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Krake Festival, we have compiled this compilation of tracks by artists who played for us over the last 10 years and from labels who have donated for our raffle. It would have been too much to ask all of the artists we love, so we have come up with this selection. One third of the tracks have previously been released, but the majority have never seen daylight before and are exclusive to this release. There was no limit in style or genre, so the compilation is as diverse as our festival, crossing over from ambient/drone to industrial techno, from techno to wave.

All buyers will automatically take part in our charity raffle/tombola with great prizes from numerous record labels and industry tech partners. 
The profits from this compilation will be donated 50% to Seawatch and 50% to the inclusive project Ick Mach Welle, which teaches people with learning disabilities how to make electronic music.
