Live improvised ambient music for cassette tape loop, AM radio, and eurorack modular.

After attempting to create an infinite looping cassette tape I was finally successful last night. It took a lot of precision work to get the small cassette tape spliced together. 

The cassette loop in this composition is the lo-fi bell sounds heard in the beginning and throughout the piece. Layered on the sound is live AM radio station static. I used the Qu-bit Nebulae to playback a pre-recorded melodic loop. Everything was mixed together with the Korgasmatron filter and brought into Ableton Live where I added some reverb and delay. In Live I also played back some found sound voice recordings.

These tracks are the culmination of my 2 year involvement with Reassembly. They are meant to depict the evolving atmospheres in the game, with tones spanning from danger and loneliness to discovery and wonder. The majority of the collection is ambient, punctuated with high energy tracks.
