Killian Harty Era Mix - 1960 to 1970.

A Journey in Music from 1960 to 2025. A genre fluid mix incorporating 5 of my favourite tracks from each era. What fits chronologically is the overriding sample which powers each selected track. A 2 hour set at a 2024/25 New Years Eve Festival was the perfect place for this deep dive into the past, present and future of music. Grateful to all those who joined us on this journey and looking forward to next time.

Lost in Between New Years Eve Festival 2024/25 - Decades Mix

A collaborative piece inspired by James Bond movies such as From Russia With Love and Goldeneye. Boris Dostoyevski a former KGB agent hoped the song would be a hit in Moscow and Kyiv but it turned out to be more of a warning sign about the dangers of Russian Propaganda to the world. Boris meanwhile has not been seen since Russia's illegal  invasion of Ukraine. We considered taking the track down as a mark of respect to the people of Ukraine but art is art and freedom dies in the dark. Let it shine a light on the modus operandi of the Kremlin.

Espionage feat Boris Dosytoyevski (Radio Edit)

An ambient house track inspired by our nearest star as we enter the solar age. The cover art  references the sun worshipping tribes of ancient Europe who stretched in an arc from Newgrange in Ireland to Stonehenge in England on up to Scandinavia and down to ancient Egypt and beyond. The bridge of the track is inspired by sun sets on the the infamous rock at Blazing Swan, the festival where it was first preformed live.

A mix inspired by a place called God Says No, deep in the heart of the West Australian Desert. A place where those who go, know God really meant yes. When we Burn again the rains will fall and we will dance in the pyramid under the stars in the salty dust once more. This too shall pass and the fire in our hearts will burn eternally.

Killian Harty is a Perth based, Irish Born, musician, producer and DJ. Growing up in the vibrant European music scene of the new millennium he brings a rich tapestry of influences from the Wild Atlantic western edge of the continent. Having travelled the world and sampled its music before settling in Australia he brings a diversity to his music while maintaining a keen eye for what keeps audiences engaged. 

He considers himself a genre fluid musician & producer while as a DJ he finds that it is Tech House which most gets his Heart pumping. He is also known for sprinkling a bit of nostalgia into his sets. He enjoys the story telling aspect of all music and every set will bring you on an unforgettable journey. 

He pays respect to the elders upon whose land he is grateful to play for they are after all, the greatest of story tellers with at least 60,000 years of continuous culture and songlines.
