Ardchumhach presents the debut release from Killian Walsh, founder of the label.

Killian Walsh is a multi-instrumentalist from Ireland’s east coast. His musical journey began in traditional folk groups, and discovering electronic rhythms was a turning point — now he blends emotion and storytelling across genres from ambient to melodic techno.

This first track on Ardchumhach was inspired by a conversation with an artist about her London exhibition on colonialism and non-native species. The grey squirrel, which disrupted Ireland’s natural balance, became a symbol of an unfamiliar world. For Killian Walsh, this theme intertwined with personal loss — the death of his wife and awakening to a new reality.

The music becomes his way of transforming pain into deep, atmospheric sound, taking the listener on an emotional journey.
