Per QX &amp; Elias Bravo make their comeback on Great Stuff with the trippy &#8220;Hot Head&#8221; release. A heavy hitting acid bassline marches through fields of modern - effect filled percussion &amp; synth layers. Those provide the perfect surrounding for the pitched vocal, that adds some extra craziness to this peak time beast. 

Olivier Giacomotto&#8217;s remix is a kind of very sleek a slow burner. He stripped down the original elements to a bare minimum and concentrated on just the essentials. That way he made more space for the bassline and chopped up vocal snippets to breath and have an even bigger impact on the dancefloor.

Finally Tom Minton is closing out the EP in perfect style. He laid most of his focus on the vocal and placed it in a different scenario. Huge build ups and rougher sounds replace some of the original ideas but still make perfect sense!

As one of Southpoint’s original artists, Pavv returns in blazing form to his home label with a monster of an EP, entitled ‘Falling’. Within the scene, Pavv is already known for his skippy UKG production style, focusing on masterfully crafted bass sounds and highly energetic overall arrangements, with this EP featuring the entire array of his signature, plus two vocal features and a powerhouse remix too.

The title track features Bristol’s Charli Brix, whose breathy, soulful vocals lead the way around a fantastic bass driven composition. Next up: ‘Gully Face’ and ‘Scatter Dub’, with Pavv using his unique ability to continuously create original and catchy bass sounds, which he uses to his full advantage on both of these tunes with intense results, stacked with sub-driven wobblers and vibrant drum arrangements.

Finally, we see homegrown talent Duke return to the forefront of everything Southpoint with his weighty vocal of ‘Pick Up The Pace’. Considering that these two are close friends, you can feel the chemistry between the pair as the track rages on with Duke’s intricate lyricism skipping across the surface of Pavv’s bassline madness flowing beneath. On remix duty, the ever-ready Hamdi makes another return to the release roster with his explosive remix of ‘Gully Face’, and he doesn’t disappoint.

Throughout the UK bass scene's rise to it's current prominence and dancehall domination, there have been a definitely few labels that can be classed as leading lights, who have consistently provided high grade fire for the rest of the scene to take inspiration from and grow. There is no doubt in our minds that the Yorkshire based giants at In:Flux audio are one of these projects. 

The label, formed in 2013 has been a major contributor to kick starting the bassline scene particularly into prominence, producing high quality releases from the likes of heavyweight names such as Kry Wolf,  Distro, Vital Techniques, Deadbeat UK, Dr Cryptic, Jay Robinson, Pelikann and more, cementing their names into the stones that laid the foundations. 

Why are we bringing all this to your attention? Well, a little birdie told us that their 5th birthday as a label was coming up, along with a gargantuan celebratory compilation, so we had to get involved with the party. We were lucky enough to grab half an hour with bossman and co-founder Tik (of Tik&Borrow fame) for an in depth interview, looking through the highlights of the last five years, from early raves in Leeds to being able to assemble such an impressive roster. To go with this also, the In:Flux team have allowed us to properly join in the festivities by giving you guys an exclusive early listen at one of the tracks from the compilation. You are now able to stream this track EXCLUSIVELY through threethousand.co.uk.

The compilation has been arranged into chronological order to show the evolution of the label and features artists old and new to the label, showcasing the strength of their roster.

His primary business is the crafting of tough, UK bass workouts that nod to the bassline and speed garage of yesteryear. Through his consistent output, Killjoy has steadily garnered accolades by the dozen. His releases & and exclusives have received support from heavy hitters across the board from Slimzee, TQD and Skream to Scratcha DVA, Caspa, Zomby, Interplanetary Criminal and plenty more.

He has released on a plethora of forward thinking labels, from Time Is Now, Sector 7 and Slimzos Recordings to Hardcore Energy, Bulk Music, Tumble Audio, Extra Spicy, Four40 Records and more, as well as working with legendary MC’s like D Double E, Jammz, Slick Don, Killa P, Shantie, Magugu, Champion and many more — and his productions under the Killjoy alias as well as golden era dubstep under his Ashburner and Core alias’ demonstrate his sheer versatility as an artist. Each of his tracks have a unique and original feel, while still retaining the trademark Killjoy sound.
