DJ Food takes us down a dark, synthetic future route full of esoteric pieces more at home in sci-fi soundtracks and public information films. Our guest in Hour 2 is the legendary John Morales, having started his DJ career in the Bronx, NYC in the eighties, he started editing and remixing his favourite tracks and went on to be responsible for over 650 remixes alongside Sergio Munzibai. Their remix partnership was so prolific from underground disco and boogie to major artists in a career spanning 30 years. Naturally it's a mix of classic disco tracks from the likes of Teddy Pendegrass, Alphonso Mouzon, The Dells, Curtis Hairston and Henderson & Whitfield.

Freestylers Essential Mix

On occasion of Diynamic's latest release, the Various Artist EP series called "Four To The Floor", we'd like to introduce to you the participating artists, by letting them mix a Diynamic Radio Show.

Just 20 years old, Anton Dhouran is inspired by the likes of The xx and Stephan Bodzin and his cut ‘Mirage’ is a make-you-reminisce house track designed for the hearts. “I had laid my guitar aside for a few months, and I wanted to make a track by including the guitar again, so I reworked a melody that I had composed some time ago and adapted it to 115 bpm. I've worked nearly 8 hours on the track, until I finally finished it.”  The drums are big and bold, the melodies are massive and the vibe is beautifully sad, the ideal closing track for Solomun’s summer festival sets .

Baja Mexico...natural hot springs...waterfalls...sublime good company. It was a match made in heaven. This was the set I played midmorning, when it was climbing to 100 degrees F. Shade made it possible to dance, but just barely. Accordingly, the vibe is mellow, the beats gentle.
