Young People's short, minimal, brutally beautiful songs draw their inspiration from ancient hymnals and confessionals and blues numbers, taken with a strong dose of Broadway. The L.A. trio played stark and aloof and downright frightening music: by equal measure inspiring, comforting, chilling.

Originally released in 2002 on KRS subsidiary 5 Rue Christine, Young People's self-titled album is now available on audio cassette.

Will interviews James from Kill Rock Stars, and they discuss four songs that hit #1 on the Modern Rock charts in September 1990.  Songs under discussion include "Stop" by Jane's Addiction, "Every Beat of the Heart" by The Railway Children, "Suicide Blonde" by INXS, and "Never Enough" by The Cure.

This episode has been updated to include the original album version of "Every Beat of the Heart", since Will and James  mistakenly listened to an acoustic version during the original recording of the episode.
