Seems like this should've been done already, but I couldn't find it anywhere. The main results when searching for this on YouTube all have the beats swap at 120bpm, so I wondered what swapping them at 240bpm would sound like. The result was pretty interesting!

I'm actually not dead, gasp!

Check this out - I wanted to learn how to make music in a chiptune tracker. Decided to give Furnace a try, and in order to keep it simple while I learned the interface, I tried recreating the original Trainer Battle theme I composed a while ago in the tracker.

I ended up changing the composition up some, because I wasn't too happy with the old composition as I listened to it more. I was trying to make a chaotic vibe that was a little bit darker than Pokémon RBY's Trainer Battle theme, but the result was more "unfocused" than "chaotic" - I think this version remedies that.

Funnily enough, despite this being made in a tracker (as opposed to a standard DAW, which is what I used to make the previous version), I think it might be LESS accurate as a Game Boy Pokémon battle theme than the previous version, due to the fact that I used effects a lot more in this than you typically hear in RBY's original music. Buttttttt the instruments/channels should be more accurate so *shrugs* hope you enjoy anyway! Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Well, it sure has been a while.

Apologies for the radio silence, but a lot has happened over the past few months, mainly my computer stopped functioning. But I've finally fixed the issue and now I can get back to making music!

Unfortunately, over the time I've been away I've been unable to practice, so I'll be quite rusty for a while. I made this just because I wanted a simple song to kick my music making back off.

Fun fact, the first song I ever remixed - even before I started remixing Undertale music - was the GSC Kanto Gym Leader Battle theme (the remix was absolutely terrible, btw). 

My first Undertale-related remix was EIGHT GATES, so this track is very heavily related to my beginnings in both Undertale remixing as well as remixing in general. That's what I meant by "a track will really bring me back to my roots".

Between this track and my INAKUNARINASAI take, I learned that I'm really, really bad at adding ambiance to my music. That's something I should probably work on.

What better way is there to show that I'm still alive than by showcasing my very own REANIMATION?

I've been gone for a few months because I've been getting kinda frustrated with music. I haven't been improving, at least not at an acceptable rate. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy making music, but knowing that you suck without knowing how to improve... it's an incredibly defeating feeling.

Anyway, despite feeling like crap about it, I'm trying not to give up. I still want to study and work on music, but I've been feeling more and more discouraged from uploading it. So I'm not here to say "I'm back and I'll be uploading normally", but to say "I'm semi-back and I'll be uploading quite infrequently".

Now that the self-deprecation is done... hey guys! I made this in celebration of my second year here on SoundCloud! It's kind of a guitar test as well.

This is just a random idea I had after making a megalo lead for Lava Powerhouse. Of course not every motif in BLUE STREAK was a Zone that had another Zone after it, but I tried to come up with what would be roughly equivalent to "one Zone later" for those cases. Can you recognize all the motifs?
