So since three weeks ago, somebody has blessed me with an old but decent Yamaha keyboard. For someone who has been using other people's synthesizers for more than a decade already, this is really a huge blessing. I was able to rig it up with my laptop and Reason 5, and I've been re-educating myself again with using Reason for live performance since then.

I managed to take a break and do a cover of a fast song for the first time! Originally, I posted a video of this rendition on Facebook (with all the mistakes!!), but then I also tried fixing those slips and messy parts on this recording. So this would be the first time I uploaded something really clean! Hopefully I wouldn't be too spoiled with that, because I strongly believe that a performance will still always be imperfect, will always be human.

I added a "kick track" too to get that pounding rolling. It was fun doing this. ;)

Still working out a demo of this new song written by me and Cinton Ebil. Other instrument tracks will surely be added to it. We still don't know the future of this baby, but let God make it grow and work on it.

No One Like You (Every Nation GTA)

Notice the classic kick drum track? Justin is taking so long to record the additional instrumental tracks (#shoutout lol), so I've decided for now to put this up because it's been long delayed already. I and Rhett worked out this song a month or two ago when I was still writing my thesis in Toronto. Will this be another addition to the #EveryNationGTA/Mississauga playlist? Who knows? God will take care of this baby.

After 2 months, Justin and I finally nailed down the guitar tracks! Next steps: create a drum track (a studio-recorded drum track will come at a later time, so we'll stick with sampled ones first) and a bass guitar track by Joel. All's good!

I took a break from updating this channel because of school, other projects, and my thesis. I'm just glad that I made it through with God's power! This song perfectly describes that moment when you "see the sun bursting through the clouds." 

This took me a lot of takes, but what's uploaded is surely one whole take (quantized and fixed some slips and mistakes).

I'm back with covers of classic Ron Kenoly songs! I wish people would still sing these in church services, but it's already totally different at this day and age.

Another one of the Ron Kenoly covers I've done the past days. This is by far the most difficult thing for me...the groove is just way too tedious. I could have done a different arrangement, but the Tom Brooks arrangement is just so good that I have to kinda replicate that!

Slept at 6 in the morning just to nail the song down, lest I forget everything if unfinished. Singing and recording the vocal track was difficult then because of the lack of sleep. I'm not even sure of the title yet. Here's to another freshly-baked song, tucked in the song shelf until it sees the light of day in due time. Thank God for this beautiful opportunity to birth out one song.
