Kim_Nasung is an artistic pseudonym of Mateusz Bąkała (born in 1984) – an artist exploring the fields of the electro-acoustic, experimental music, noise, musique concrete and field recordings and also a founder of the MindTwistingRecords internet label. Since 2008 he has started his cooperation with the Warsaw Electronic Festival and later with Fundacja Sztuka i Technologia (Art And Technology Foundation), where he coordinates artistic, educational and publishing projects.

So far he has published his music under Lona Records (Hong Kong), IHM Records (Poland), Edition Niko (Japan) and his own MindTwistingRecords (Poland). He cooperates with many artists all over the world. So far he has performed with Joel Grip (SE), Pierre Borel (FR),  Alexei Borisov (RU), Edyta Fil (PL), Ilia Belorukov (RU), Zavoloka (UKR), Emiter (PL), XVP (PL), Thaw (PL), An On Bast (PL), Jacaszek (PL), Fenschu (FR), HATI (PL), Wolfram (PL), Patryk Zakrocki (PL), Gilles Aubrey (DE), Dario Fariello (IT), Mirt (PL), 4daladiez (NL) and others. Nowadays he is also actively involved in the activities of the ChoP Project. In 2011 he took part in a two-week ChoP China Tour where he successfully performed during the Shanghai Electronic Music Week, and also in Nanjing, Wuhan and the capital city of China – Beijing.

Mateusz is also strongly involved in the cooperation with Belarusian artists. In 2011 he took part in the Belarus Sound Art in Poland project which had its final live presentation in the Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw (PL). He also works with a Lublin based group kr39 creating an interesting blend of old traditional Polish songs with modern electronic sound art. Mateusz is also involved in the activities of the Harpakahylo duo, where together with Konrad Hyl an improviser playing prepared gramophones and prepared percussion, composes a strong mixture of free improvised music.
