The transition to active bass near 1:16-ish is superb.As someone who really enjoys the chances I get to be a bass player, it felt and sounded just exactly in the groove: It's one of those "I wish I had played that" kinds of moments as I listened to "Galaxies." At 1:45-ish, the introduction of a deeper, more raw texture really brings the song forward. Nice! Then back to smooth, then back to sustained vocals with a clean mixture of simplified bass, drums, and textures: all accentuated with some really almost-subliminal arps just rounded the whole tune up. The sustained piano at the end was nice - relaxing end to a relaxing piece... Well done, well done, well done!
