Simona Dellamorte is a dj and producer based in Haarlem. Her debut EP as her solo project Feralia Planitia was released at the end of 2021, and was well received by the press and the public, still being aired by electronic music radio programs around the world. Dellamorte’s compositions evoke the diverse styles of electronic music she loves, Ebm, industrial and electro, but at the same time it sounds highly personal and original. Using a mix of hardware, software synths and percussions, she creates entrancing tracks with a futuristic, dystopian feel, bolstered by captivating rhythms that are never obvious. In this mix prepared for Amsterdam Alternative, she proposes some of her favourite electro tracks.

We are pleased to present a track "Mind Bubble" by Jodövade from album "Star Drifter".

Jodövade, is a music producer from the United States. With a heavily groove-oriented style, the artist pulls inspiration from many corners of music. This fresh take on lo-fi music features many references to Machinedrum, Stray, Glacci, and Reeffrog, drenched in a scratchy, sheeny grain that carries the rolling, bouncing percussion chaotically.
This album glides seamlessly between chillout, lo-fi hip-hop, indie, downtempo and the 8 tracks infuse deep emotions and light atmosphere. Crispy leads, ambient pads, organic synths, lofi keys and analog plucks brings the album to life.

Distilling and yet transcending the current moment of ambient electronica, "Star Drifter" tracks are cartographers of a mysterious Fantastic Planet and this subtle soundscape retraces their steps. The atmospheric nature of the album is bountiful with textural electronics woven together in a manner that comes across as very well written and produced as well as authentic and personal, which is a joy to experience.

This week i'm back with another special guest and fellow Hastings resident, Aeltonen! Aeltonen performs live modular sets all around the UK and also performs live with his partner in electronica band, The Vile Electrodes. Aeltonen will be performing at the next Hybrid in Hastings so look out for details to be announced soon! I will also be performing live at the Reposition Record Album launch party for a new album by the amazing Scane One which is at Peckham Audio on 21st April. This will also be with the fantastic Plant 42 and Radioactiveman! I so am hugely honoured to be playing with three of my electro heroes!

This week i'll be playing smooth electro for the first half hour then on to some harder electro, experimental, broken techno and bass. For the second hour I have an awesome mix by the amazing Broken Joe which was recorded live at his recent Data Mine event in April this year! Broken Joe is a brilliant producer and DJ based in Birmingham who runs the fantastic Data Mine events with his wife and team which is at Shambala Festival every year with an amazing production! Look out for Broken Joe on the soon to be released Hybrid Vol 01 out on vinyl soon with several other Hybrid Crew including the amazing Syrte from Science Cult!

Kim Cosmik started as a DJ for free party soundsystems Spiral Tribe and Bedlam and DJs at festivals and clubs all over the U.K and Europe. She was also one of the first women to play at the ledgendary Knowledge club in London.

In 1993 Kim Cosmik formed her own label, Void Records with fellow band member Chantelle Platter in partnership with Hotmix / Bunker records in Holland where they released two singles then and were later signed to Matador / EMI releasing a further 3 singles.  

Kim Cosmik and Chantelle also created aliases, DJ Siren and Blaze, playing and releasing drum and bass with Spectrum Audio / Alphamagic and also had a track remixed by Dylan (Therapy Records). 

Kim Cosmik has played with many amazing artists such as Lory D, Leo Anibaldi, Colin Dale, Serge Clone, Aleksi Perala, Andy Turner, B12, Radioactiveman, Jumping Jack Frost, Mickey Finn, Liberator, Dave The Drummer, Syrte and many more. She has has recently played at clubs such as Fold, Electroweks, The Glove That Fits and Iklecktic in London as well as About Blank in Berlin, Shambala Festival and many regular events in Hastings where she lives. 

Kim Cosmik is currently a resident at Threads Radio, Aaja Radio and Techno Club Net online as well as her own event, Hybrid which she launched in 2019. 

Kim Cosmik releases music through her label, Cybersoul on Bandcamp as well as with a variety of labels such as Science Cult, 2020 Vision Recordings, Diffuse Reality, Touched Music, Section 27, Bass Agenda, Zwaartekracht and many more including a new album about to be released on vinyl by Reposition Records. Look out for many more events and releases in 2023!
