With the carefree summer days behind us, Chicago’s Midnight Conspiracy takes a turn to the dark side with this gritty remix of Gemini Club’s debut single “Ghost”. Taking the original’s disco-inspired strings and up-beat catchy vocals, and subjecting it to a brutalizing treatment of distorted wobbling bass courtesy of Midnight Conspiracy, the song is transformed into a somber and withdrawn shadow of its former self. If Midnight Conspiracy’s summer was characterized by their feel-good italo-disco releases, this new remix may possibly be a preview of darker and heavier times ahead for the group this fall.

Having just completed their DJ tour with Innerpartysystem, Chicago party-starters Midnight Conspiracy releases their latest remix of the band’s “And Together”, on Red Bull Records as a special free Beatport exclusive. Following up heavier remixes for Lucky Date and Gemini Club, Midnight Conspiracy continues to experiment with the big room sound as evidenced in this video from their performance at North Coast Festival in Chicago. In contrast to their earlier Italo-inspired remixes, Midnight Conspiracy gets gritty and wobbly with the bassline for “And Together”.

Innerpartysystem returns to the studio to record, but Midnight Conspiracy charges forward on their Arcanum Arcanorum Tour which covers over 40 cities in 2 continents.
