This is an album of Elvis covers Alison did for Christmas 2009, which she played and sang backwards and then reversed - an activity she attempted quite often as a child as an attempt to commune with Satan.  It has been hastily remastered in order to make it loud enough to hear and just as thoughtless shared on Soundcloud to give you a break from the usual Christmas music.  Hail Satan!

kimono - Specters

This is a session we did for the Icelandic National Radio (RÚV - RÁS2) on the 6th of June, 2014.  We were asked to do something old, something new and something borrowed - an old song (Aftermath, recently resurrected as the band settled into its new structure with Gylfi playing bass), a new song (Specters, which we released as a single last April) and something borrowed (Rúdolf by Þeyr, an Icelandic post-punk band that we love love love...)

kimono toured through the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and a few other places throughout 2005 and 2006 while we were all living in Berlin.  This compilation collects some of performances from Jena, Frankfurt, Basel, and Leipzig (all of which were great shows for us).  The setlist was always the same, but we played around with the style of a lot of the songs and occasionally we played the whole thing twice (like in Erfurt, when the people only showed up after they'd finished watching Adam Green... wtf?).

"Aquarium" is a new EP from Iceland's premier experimental rock band, kimono, who are not usually known for long instrumental numbers.  Actually, they're usually known for short, bursts of blink-and-miss-it guitar and drum explosions.  Alright?  Alright!  

This is kimono's first release since 2009's Easy Music for Difficult People.  The EP is available exclusively online from Bandcamp (to buy) and Soundcloud (to stream).  Enjoy!
