I couldnt  disagree more ,Even  as  a kid i think we recognized mister arch in that move, we knew right from wrong as far as how a man should act. Leezy kinda  explained it  withthe representation comment. If i hated color purple because of that and all the Lexicon that movie gave us, id have to hate all classic HipHop.

Because they werent thinking withthe Familar or communal mind , they had individualistic goals.. It wasntthatthey werentable to help, Life just hit them all  and they didnt plan ahead in a way that was  benificial for the community. .

MONK was  a Cosby show black person. You always see on doc where ppl say they couldnt relate to Bill and Clair.. HE AND HIS SIBLINGS COULD. He saw blackness with an idealistic eye. Its the hood shit that he doesnt want associated with  blackness. It has its place but dont lump his stands in with it.

She represented Monk Not looking like a sellout. Ifshe was white or some other race the blackaudience wouldnt give monk much grace. She operated also as his consious and to humanize monk. Another tie in tothe Cosby show too lol

monk shouldve  tried to put them out. but once she was cool with it then cool
