Its been more than six months since I’ve had the last chance to play some music in front of a crowd. I tried to put all of my hope, my love & dedication as well as my anger into this DJ mix. This journey reflects what I would be playing in the morning hours at a club such as KaterBlau and some melancholic-melodic moments to just make you fly away. This verse summarizes Violetta’s path to playing music. Surrounded by talented musicians, DJ’s and performers from early adulthood, Violetta was always fascinated by a human’s ability to inspire and move the senses of oneself, as well as others, through musical creation… whatever the genre or instrument. Having pursued a career in law, which she still practices and loves, the creative muse finally unlocked the door that was always meant to open. Motivated by many musical experiences where Violetta was a participant, an observer, or a curator, combined with inspiration from her family and collective at Pynk, the natural progression was to embrace DJing herself. Violetta gravitates toward deeper beats, intertwined with instrumentals, soft vocals, and sounds from different cultures.

Hello friends! Here is the recording of my very first set at Stereo Montréal

A place that truly feels like (((home))) 

A room that means so much to many of us and that sparks wonders for those who haven't been yet. A space where we can be free, all together. A spaceship that uses vibrations to bend space and time. A temple where music becomes alive.

It was an honour to have the chance to play in this room for 11 hours to the most amazing group of humans. It's been a dream of mine for so many years to have the chance to play there and it's one of most meaningful moments I ever lived. Stars were aligned, the collective energy was truly beautiful and I am happy to be able to share with you the soundtrack of that night. 

Thanks to all the @stereonightclub team for the incredible work to co-create such a sacred space for music. 

A special thanks to Luc for the cosmic visuals during the night.

And thanks to all of you family and friends who joined the journey.

Every night some time after falling asleep we enter into this dream world that we create in our brain, a product of what we perceive every day, what we have in our conscious and subconscious mind, what our imagination and creativity come up with when it's not controlled or judged by our everyday life reasoning and logic. Not always we remember let alone be aware that we are in a dream, but we do dream every single night.

Everyday I try to ask myself if I'm dreaming during the day, to have the habit of asking this same question often enough to eventually ask myself if I'm dreaming when i'm indeed in a dream. With this awakening begins a journey with no physical laws of the world we know. And with the help of this habit I am so excited and happy that I get to explore the landscape of my subconscious, my creativity and I even believe that I find some spiritual healing.

Recording this set I was in a waking dream. An emotional. intense, deep, soft, dark and powerful one.

While listening and in your daily life don't forget to do some reality checks every once in a while. Maybe one of these days you actually will be in a dream. Enjoy the ride.
