Birds Of Mind end their year with ‘Journey’, a magically mellow new album on Kindisch. 

Birds of Mind is made up of Paris-based duo Alex H. and Adrian C. Alex studied filmmaking in NYC and picked up a passion for electronic music while traveling the globe. He now spends half his year DJing on the island of Mykonos and is inspired by being close to nature. Adrian was born into a Venezuelan family of classical music artists, studied the violin and piano at the Conservatory of Paris then made his way into musique concrète. Together they compose music that is electronic but nourished by the exploration of organic sounds and ancient chants. Birds Of Mind will return to Get Physical in 2022 after debuting there in 2019, but before that comes this immersive new album. It is a spiritual, peaceful and loving record with a very natural presence. 

'Birth Of The Phoenix' opens up with four minutes of ambient pads and swirling, wordless vocals that are immediately soothing. The deliciously deep and delicate 'Mindgame' sinks you into a heartfelt house groove, and dubby cut 'The Tree of Knowledge' is embellished with intoxicating vocals, found sounds and plenty of natural sonic details. 'La Maison Bleue' is clean and elegant, with celestial melodies lifting your spirits before cosmic ambient piece 'It's Me' brings lush layers of synths to take you ever higher. 
The second half of the album plays out with the floating grooves and expressive Spanish vocals of 'Wing Flapping,' romantic late-night house and deft instrumentation of 'Dropping Seeds of Life' and the melancholic lullaby that is 'Inside Your Head.' Deep bass and intoxicating jazzy sax define the supple 'The Void Between Us' and 'Finale' closes down with gorgeously optimistic chords, cosmic motifs and glassy melodies that beam down from the heavens. 

‘Journey’ is a perfectly escapist listen from two talented artists.

The next release from Kindisch ﬁnds producers Aaron Sevilla and Juany Bravo joining forces with vocalist Lubó and guitarist Toth de la Vega for the superb new single 'Sun Showers.'

Juany Bravo is a self-taught producer who mixes Latin-inﬂuenced grooves with tribal percussion and elements of disco, classic house and hip-hop on labels like Nervous and Toolroom. He collaborates here with Mexican Aaron Sevilla, who frequently tops the Afro and Latin House Charts at Beatport and Traxsource and is a vital player in his native underground scene. Another Mexican, Toth de la Vega adds further richness to this new single. He's a DJ, producer and musician who has released on mighty labels like King Street Sounds. Completing the quartet is Slovak singer and songwriter Lubó, a fellow new school star whose voice has lent real emotion to a range of house tracks.

The glorious 'Sun Showers' is perfectly warm and welcoming right from the oﬀ. The open-air house grooves are sprinkled with organic percussion, shuﬄing drums and inviting kicks. Soft shakers and ﬁnger clicks make for a loose-limbed rhythm while the gorgeous vocal is ﬁlled with soul. It adds up to a most heartfelt sound with dusty atmospheres and an emotional longing that makes an indelible mark.

This is a typically fresh and emotive house single from Kindisch.

Peruvian musician @marcotegui began his musical journey in 2009, firstly making an impact in South America before graduating to the world stage. He is now based in Ibiza and was previously A&R at Berlin’s iconic Bar25 label as well as managing its sister imprint Sirin Music before starting his own DowntempoLove label. He has a magical live set that combines the same rich harmonies, hypnotic sounds and melodic synths as his productions on labels like Get Physical, Stil For Talent and many more. His new Kindisch Stories album is a rich tapestry of South American melodies, instrumentals and Tegui's own exquisite musicianship. Toronto’s JADE (CA) makes a welcome return to Kindisch with more of her atmospheric house grooves alongside a remix by Doubtingthomas.

JADE (CA) has had a few years away from making music but before that was established on labels such as No.19 Music, Motek and Kindisch. The Canadian has now been part of the underground for 15+ years after first being mentored by Jonny White aka Art Department. She built a unique signature sound early on with deep, dark basslines underneath infectious hi-hats and plenty of alluring synths, and now shows she still has plenty to say on her return.

Her fantastic 'Dreams and Schemes' is an inviting mid-tempo groove with sensual vocals smeared into the mix. The drums swing low while undulating chords are warm and liquid as they draw you ever deeper into a state of late-night and intimate hypnosis. Some exotic strings define the breakdown and bring a real touch of class to the whole tune.

Remixer Doubtingthomas is French artist Aurelien Riviere, someone known for his nuanced house on labels like Serialism and 20:20 Vision. His remix is more direct but no less deep and dubby. It's a dynamic sound with swirling solar winds and spaced-out pads that sway about the mix to colourful and trippy effect.

This superb single marks a great return to form for JADE (CA).

Cultured house and techno label Kindisch enlists Brooklyn duo Bedouin to present their own entrancing sonic apparition on the latest Kindisch Stories compilation. It was conceived in Tulum, Mexico earlier in the year and draws together 11 original tracks all commission by the label to focus on the listening —rather than dance floor—experience.
Kindisch has been setting its own agenda for ten years now. In that time it has put out 100 releases from the likes of Einzelkind, Samim, Jay Haze, Raz Ohara and more, and offers timeless and constantly evolving music that isn't necessarily always designed for the ‘floor. Bedouin, meanwhile, create their own idiosyncratic melodies and rhythms for labels such as this one as well as CityFox. They have an eclectic vi- sion that pulls from diverse influences owing to their Middle Eastern heritage, West- ern upbringing and worldly travels.
Here they stray far into the desert and return home with a naturally elegant sound that reflects the duo’s wide musical remit. In Bedouin’s words, “each piece of music gathered, turned out to be a gem that represented a different corner of the world. Each was special in its own way, but all together they organically fit like one beautiful mosaic.”
Starting with their own enchanting passage of deep and absorbing atmospherics, this is a masterfully paced mix that slowly but surely builds without ever getting sweaty. Always supple and heartfelt, tracks like Feathered Sun - ‘Get On’ and ‘Bufo’ from the Brooklynites themselves (one of three original offerings from them) keep things lan- guorous and romantic throughout.
As the mix rolls on, organic piano keys and rubbery synths from Viken Arman and Satori are paired with ever more upright drums, but never do things feel hurried. The second half remains deep and woozy thanks to cuts from LUM, Oceanvs Orientalis and YokoO, with hints of middle eastern melody and widescreen chords, tender vocal wails and romantic late night sax lines all soothing the soul as the grooves slowly se- duce your body.
With this release, Bedouin craft a marvellous mix that sits as well on an early morning dance floor as it does in the headphones at home.

Kindisch Steps returns for a very special tenth edition. Nine tracks, each new and exclusive, from the Kindisch family as well as a few newcomers. Leading the charge is a smooth jazzy number from a new face, FNX OMAR. ‘GNAWACH’ rides a rolling beat and teases a delicious organic bass lick before releasing the energy of the percussion. Next, Julian Prince, another new name, adds ‘Animated Love’ to the tracklist. This one rides deep with a fluttering synth driving the track as elegant pads fill the space between giving us a proper dancefloor treat. Haiku575’s ‘More Coffee In the Morning’ brings a springy, light footed after hour touch before Facundo Mohrr and Valdovinos take the energy and tone back to the late night dancefloor. Our beloved Vincent Casanova contributes ‘Zip’, another slow burner making a special kind of dancefloor atmosphere. Rolbac takes over with ‘Unwrinkle’ and gives us percussive drive with a funk bounce that continuously finds itself in new realms throughout the track. Riding a gentle rhythm and sway, ‘Hidden Dreams’ gives us a look into Ian McKenzie’s world. This world is one of soft tones and sweeping ambience, intensified by intriguing atmospheric elements. Nearing the end, Sandro Beninati shares another late night driver, ‘Rena Majore’, and finally, Mobius Strum gives the compilation a proper final act, ‘Pampa Liberiana’. Pulling its strength from the hypnotic tones and superbly calibrated rhythmic energy, the track takes us where time stands still in the magic of the moment.

In 2018 El Mundo & Zazou released their track ‘Can You See What I See’ on Get Physical’s „Words Don’t Come Easy“ album.
