In this release, we proudly introduce Maicol MP and Steedo, who are making their debut in our musical family with their exceptional composition, "Ants March." This five-piece set includes three original tracks, an ambient version of the main track, and a stunning remix crafted by our talented Italian friends, Bumppo & Philip Auster. "Ants March" is a mesmerizing, gracefully melancholic track with a distinctive groove that transports listeners to an entirely new world. Our ambient version of this track retains all the enchanting elements but removes the rhythmic patterns, allowing for a more leisurely and introspective journey, perfect for those quiet, reflective moments. Moving on to the third track, "Ladybird," it masterfully combines diverse percussive elements with synthesized energy, creating an ascending and sophisticated sonic landscape. The third part of the series serves as an intellectual, emotional, and visionary installment of the conceptually crafted material. Guy J, as with each of his releases, challenges the status quo and expands the boundaries of musical expression. Through nearly eighteen minutes of meditative music, this release delves deeper into abstraction and cerebral exploration while maintaining a connection to human emotions.
In late 2023, the release of the first part of Drifting Memory heralded a new chapter for Armadillo Records. Guy, renowned for his stellar career in producing drum-based dance music, decided to reduce his sonic palette to drumless music. This reduction doesn't adhere to the classical minimalist form as critics often define it. Instead, his expression is distilled into free-pitch synthesizer sounds, reflecting the personal vision of escapism through the art form. Drifting Memory Part 3 offers music suitable for deep relaxation and meditation or as an ideal soundtrack for uncharted interstellar exploration.
