A 4 track zone (plus one bonus track) of half time menace, threading sharp grooves with a deep techno palette. Influenced by both hip-hop & his sikh and panjabi heritage, it’s an ambitious body of work that typifies the exciting experimentation within the London club underground and exemplifies best the kinetic intention past, present and future.

How can the unfamiliar feel so close? Dookuzot, the debut EP by Floid and W92 (aka Woody92), invites listeners to venture into the echo chambers of the psyche on their Omen Wapta imprint. Like a salvaged coat of arms, this 8-track release weaves the cryptic motifs of the blood brothers into its sonic fabric, blending unease with ease through stealthy rhythms and dissonant harmonies. One a sonic visionary, the other a sound artist—together, they transform decades of shared family history into an imaginary realm of the mind.

Pensive yet commanding, Dookuzot unfolds like a labyrinth, where shadowy corridors give rise to textures, shapes, and fragments of memories that never existed. Are you the hunter, or are you being hunted? Neither tempo nor zeitgeist grounds the EP; instead, it conjures a citadel of sound—an intricate fortification of motion and stillness. Like a medieval quest, Dookuzot sends you into the wilderness, armed with arcane energy, urging you to explore the blurred lines between the familiar and the strange. OW10 Floid & W92 - Dookuzot [preview]

Tharn is the new dub techno project of interdisciplinary artist Sam Ashton, originally from London and now based in Portland, Oregon.

Best known for his ambient work as Fortresses, with releases on Dragon's Eye Recordings and Flaming Pines, Ashton turns toward a more tactile, rhythm-driven sound with Tharn—while retaining the lush atmospheres and emotional depth that define his broader practice.

Written during Portland's rainy winter of 2024, Tharn's debut EP ‘Seek' on Crossfade Sounds comprises two slow-paced dub techno tracks, shaped by the grey skies and fog-draped forests of the Pacific Northwest.

‘Seek' draws upon dub techno's traditions whilst also expanding the genre's palette, with field recordings of woodland environments interspersed with ethereal, wordless vocal fragments that echo the dreamlike abstraction of Grouper or Cocteau Twins.
