Inspired by Brian Eno, this is a short ambient track produced exclusively using sound object material sourced via a list of online sources from myUCSD Music 173 class website list.

The idea was to attempt to emulate a lucid dreaming state where you are going in and out of conscious awareness of your surroundings and your dream world, intertwining the two realities.

'Random Reflections' is composed from a series of simple rhythms with randomized tonal attributes.  A custom sample player and step sequencer made in PureData was used to layer randomize sound assets to form complex beats from the underlying rhythmic instructions.  Phase Vocoding and Granular Synthesis were also introduced to some sounds to re-contextualized them into lush pads and leads.
