Born and raised in the industrial suburbs of Turin, Stenny earned recognition in the last decade as both an accomplished producer and DJ. Exploring club culture and sound art, his journey has been one of constant research and reinvention, avoiding trends and the demands of contemporary music consumption while embracing the slower and more deliberate nature of his craft. 

Stenny’s work traverses the full electronic music landscape. Whether embracing new narrative structures and compositional experiments or consolidating the immediacy of a dancefloor-oriented project, each release marks a point of departure. Familiar yet constantly shifting, his sonic language remains identifiable within the experimental techno spectrum but expands beyond genre boundaries. 

Currently based in Munich, Stenny is an Ilian Tape affiliate and a Blitz Club resident. His artistic expression consists mostly of DJ sets and live performances. Fearless in his approach, he ventures through his broad range of musical influences with spontaneity and control, committed to creating an ever-unique and immersive experience.

#ELVTInTheMix024 features @akanshathisside , also known as Bombie, who has become one of the sharper voices shaping India’s underground, moving with tasteful precision through 160, footwork, IDM, jungle, dub and breaks, rethinking club energy through sharper edges and restless curiosity. She approaches electronic music as a dialogue between movement and emotion, keeping her mixes lucid and raw, where metallic textures melt into jungle. The energy builds like circuitry, clean and kinetic, guided by instinct rather than momentum.

With a self-taught “figure-it-out” mentality, she has continued to carve a space for herself and what feels true to her. Across clubs and festivals, her evolving selections behave like a micro-study in tension and release, where breaks glitch into groove and percussion becomes architecture, engineered for a growing community of dancers — the kind who listen as much as they move, chasing something new.

Her latest ELVT mix slides through IDM, jungle, footwork, breaks and acidic workouts with a sense of what feels right rather than what fits. Every track feels wired with intent, stitched together by an ear tuned to precision and unpredictability.

We spoke to her about how she came up with the name Bombie, her special moments, and how she sees the underground today. We also got to know her better through our round of rapid fire questions,.

Upstairs Downstairs is a Naarm/Melbourne-based promoter "specialising in wubs & dubz in the club", but now for the first time bringing said wubz to life as a label. 'Anti Militarist Dubs' is a 4-track EP by London-based, Italian-born producer Big Hands, featuring a track by Naarm's own bass heavyweight Pugilist.

'Stolen Land', premiered here, is that very track. 

Undeniably club-focused, sitting between the edge of techno & bass music, 'Stolen Land' has a depth and space that has come to be one of Pugilist's many calling cards. Twisted polyrhythmic grooves and distorted percussion swirl across dubbed out vocals & low-end growls. 

'Anti Militarist Dubs' releases in full as both a limited vinyl & digitally via Upstairs Downstairs' Bandcamp on Friday, November 14.
