What a dream combo! Irish powerhouse and Maeve runner @thedriftersound joins forces with the Israeli super talent of Frau Blau fame, @kadoshofficial. The result is JAKARTA, an elegant yet relentlessly effective and forceful tune built to elevate dance floors small and big(!) around the globe. It is one of those productions where all the elements fall into their suitable places so naturally that it’s made looking easy, which one might call an attribute of true craftsmanship. The delicate mesh of synth stabs and chords, the sporadic vocal insertions, the efficient beat programming, everything is arranged to build a sum greater than its parts. We’re given two different variants of the track, the „Day“ and „Night“ version, which gives a clue about their respective qualities and intended use. But to be quite honest, we could also imagine the „Night“ version on a sunlit festival floor or the „Day“ version in a dark and sweaty warehouse. There have been dark days and bright nights after all, stranger things have happened. Whichever you end up choosing in any given moment, you most likely won’t be wrong.

Although the digital sun shines bright in Tulum always we would say there are some tunes which could be labelled as winter music typically. @igor_bartyuk (from mountainous Caucasian) and @valon_music (from ice-cold Sweden) are the masters of this genre and we're more than happy to work with them on a deep journey up here.

The title track is a very good example how to build a vibe staying low and strange only, very well tested, very well working out, low risk on "Deceit And Pretense". And what deceit and pretense means these times? We'll leave it on you to imagine, hehe.

"Blatant Case" is almost a B side - if you know what B side is - but how the world and dancefloors resonates on sorrowful and dark music we agreed on to include, and to be honest is also a great one. The door opening horror part is our favorite, can feel the tension and see trouble with our third eye after entering the room.

Last year a fan hit us with a really cool feedback on our set and said "noise with a purpose". Licensing his thought on this one.
