Music is existential. Music grants those around us a brief glimpse into the position of our hearts and a clear window to our souls. Our words, unlike music, can and do fail those around us constantly, completely, and effortlessly. When you mirror and shine the position of your heart, letting the light shine through the window of your soul… you can and will change the world. My dad, the quintessential musician, creative, father, husband, and grandfather, knew the power of putting your heart behind the music and everything else he did in this life. You could hear it, feel it, and see it reflected through his entire body while he played music, played with us and our children, he guided and loved us completely NO MATTER WHAT. In all my endevours, including music, no matter the form, he supported. He loved to be able to glimpse my heart and see my soul. I have big shoes to fill and an even bigger heart to reflect. Despite my fathers passing, regardless all my current fealings, I have been blessed. How can one be blessed in the midst of a passing of a loved one? Simply put, we left nothing go unsaid. My father knew exactly how I felt about him, and I knew exactly how he felt about me. This gives me a peace that passes understanding.
 This mix is a deeply personal piece. The initial sounds you hear are of my happy place in Hansville Washington. From the blowing of an air-driven horn on the Washington State Ferry - Spokane, to the sounds of the seagulls and crashing waves, you will be able to see why I’ve fallen asleep countless times at the beach to these sounds. This mix is one of relaxation, hope, remembrance, and love. It has a lot of strings, piano, and an overwhelming sweeping ambient flow. The last track wreaked me completely. Emotional? Yes. Healing? Also yes. This, along with my faith my God, helped center me, and reminded me of what is important. This is guiding me through a very dark but celebratory point in my life. From here on out I choose JOY!!!
