White Leaves

In late 2009 the band embarked on the 'Broken Strings' tour, which featured acoustic interpretations of a selection of their work to date. A CD and DVD featuring recordings from the tour was available to preorder at the shows, and was released in early 2010.

Hypocrite, an emotional track penned by King Social’s resident hip hop artist, Stevie Mitchell, is an extremely soulful reflection on the role alcohol plays in our lives.

King Social’s latest offering once again masterfully blends Mitchell’s explosive rap with lead singer Angus Milne’s country-esque croon and the band’s global musical influences to deliver an honest, modern ballad that tugs on all the right heartstrings.

This mixed bag of artists range from the experienced and big hearted, to the fanatical and academically recognised; throw in a storytelling hip hop enthusiast and fronted by an incredibly driven but self-confessed-musical-dunce...mix it all together, and amongst all the noise you will find: KING.

With the release of their debut EP (recorded by Mark Myers of ‘Starry Field’ and more notably ‘The Middle East’) they unashamedly produce the untold story and resonances of a region relatively unheard of.
