I was young then I remember the first Beat I made was on a Video game console ,the PS1 actually there usto be Monthly Demo games Sony Playstation was releasing when I was between Primary school and High school. Sony would put all the games that were trending on that particular month, for example FIFA ,Crash bandicoot, Abe's' Odyssey too name a few , I was crazy about those games...there was a particular game on that demo disc that had a music composition game .....id fucked with that thing and the rest is history...lol
