Again was inspired from the version of the Bill Evans Trio. I just used a backing track for this. It's not that long. I just want to feel the fire and spirit of the legendary pianist. Enjoy.

This is my composition entitled String Quartet Blues using Spitfire Abbey Road Two: Iconic Strings Professional. It's a 12 bar blues intended to be played by a string quartet.

Originally used for a virtual choir concert. Amare et Servire by Manoling Francisco is used for Catholic Mass Service. It is sung during communion. All voices were recorded to their cellphones and was submitted to me. I mix and arranged the orchestral accompaniment using Spitfire BBCSO Professional and XLN Addictive Keys Studio Grand. 
The mastering was done by Nate Pilar.

Back then in 1992 I was in my 2nd year in UST Conservatory of Music. I was enrolled in Composition Class 2 of Professor Jerry Dadap. The requirement was a choral composition to be performed before the end of the semester. So I composed a setting in the book of Psalms. My choice was Psalm 117 Praise the Lord All Ye Nations. I was so engrossed and overwhelmed with the writings of the Rennaissance composers particularly the 1600. My fave were Giovanni Pier Luigi da Palestrina, Luis Ludivico da Victoria and Orlandus Lassus. I was very fond of their canonical entrances on every voice. I went to the library and borrowed books about the 16th century counterpoint particularly the book of Gustav Sutherland. I got to listen to vinyl records too in the library. After that BOOM!!! My first attempt on writing a polyphonic piece of mine. I was very proud then to perform it in our recital. Listen and enjoy:) Here, I recreated and sang all the parts and recorded it to Cubase Pro 12 and add some sends effect using my newly purchased #BabyAudioCrystalline reverb to get a live cathedral performance effect.

Part 2 is quite the same from Part 1. They have the same chord progression. The only difference is the new melody is played by the horns and add a timpani from Spitfire BBCSO plus I added a send Baby Audio Crystalline reverb to the mix to make it a little more spacious. Also, I'm using my two newly purchased midi fader controllers. The Mico Cinetic Mini Midi usb Controller made from France by https://ferdz.fr/ hand made by Jeremy Fernandez and the Sparrow 4x100mm Midi Controller from Texas USA by https://themidimaker.com/. Both controllers are fantabulous! They have 100mm length of throw and are smooth. The only difference between the two is, the one made from USA is programmable.

First time of exploring Steinberg's Retrologue 2 & Padshop 2 with Spitfire Media Tool Kit for 18 bars😅😅😅Can possibly be a score for a documentary ala Discovery Channel, National Geographic or a news channel trailer😅 All I can say is these are two awesome synthesizers. This is Steinberg power!!!!

Modulatory Scale in C using Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra Strings Section. There is a little bit of EQuing and compression in the mixdown. Before the mixdown process, I used negative track delays on each track to find the sweet spot on the click approximately at -40.00 milliseconds.

Tinapay ng Buhay (Bread of Life) by Father Manoling Francisco. Our communion song today July 3, 2022. My wife Marife arranged the vocals and recorded the soprano and alto. I recorded the male part and arranged the accompaniment. I used XLN Addictive Keys and for the string quartet, I used Spitfire Solo Strings. I did some subtractive and additive eq on the vocals. I used Cubase Pro 12 stock plugin eq for subtractive and Waves VEQ3 and VEQ4 for additive and add a mild compression using Waves V Comp. For the mixdown, I used Plugin-Alliance Lisa EQ, Shadow Hill Mastering Compressor, Cubase Pro 12 stock plugin limiter and Waves WLM Loudness Meter. Enjoy😊

Trying to take out the rusts by warming up with Michael Jackson's Billie Jean using the Hammersmith Piano of Soniccouture VST Piano. I have a strong tendency to imitate my Jazz Hero pianist Billy Childs for this tune. It sounded like a Hancock hybrid comping.

Currently teaches music theory, jazz courses and music technology courses at the UST Conservatory of Music; he was also a faculty member of the SPU Manila College of Music for 13 years (1996-2009). He likewise taught at the Yamaha School of Music in Makati (1996- 2008) and at the Centro Escolar University Conservatory of Music(2000-2003).Their Band, Lowcal, was one of the 12 finalists to the 2014 Cotai Jazz and Blues Festival which was shortlisted from over 180 applications from 44 countries around the world. The latter group also played in the 2017 Valentine Concert of Rex Smith.
