Focusing on one particular American leader, PEACE & LOVING reinforces the fact that most observers can see beyond the fake news that spews out of the White House.

It’s nearly 50 years since John Lennon wrote ‘Imagine’. The words resonated with every generation since it’s release in 1971. But the problem is, everyone grows up. 

With that, priorities change and despite our common beliefs, humankind has proven that it is incapable of seeking out the promises it makes to itself. MAGIC SPELLS & FAIRY TALES questions why we still believe every promise given to us and why we have lost the ability to take individual responsibility.

It seems that for music, content has taken second place over how well a band or musician can market themselves. This suffocates creativity, creates lazy promoters and forces artists to focus on quantity, not quality. If you don’t play the game, there will always be something else…SOMETHING YOUNG at their disposal. This track questions how much listeners are prepared to hear beyond what is presented to them.

Stewart Macpherson (aka KING COLOBUS) is a South Devon based singer, songwriter and producer - creating darkly topical, baritone infused alternative blues that doesn’t shy away from complex subject matters.

Following the release of a self-produced, self-titled debut EP in 2016, KING COLOBUS has supported the likes of SEA SICK STEVE, BAND OF SKULLS, DE STAAT, MORIATY, SERENITY and CRAZY ARM. He was also a playlisted and featured artist on BBC INTRODUCING in both Devon and Cornwall regions. Some highlights of 2017/18 saw performances at LEOPALLOOZA, TUNES IN THE DUNES, GLAS-DENBURY, TURBULENCE FESTIVAL, GET RAD, FISHSTOCK and ROCKFEST.

KING COLOBUS collaborated with electronica artist ARTHR, releasing the club hit ‘WHISPERINGS OF THE WORLD’ through ARCADE PONY RECORDS in August 2018. January 2019 saw the release of a second 4 track EP, PEACE & LOVING and 2025 will be the year that he releases his long-awaited debut album, ‘Torn Between Age & Perseverance’.
