IRE Hi-FI is a Soundsystem and independent record label for Dub / Reggae productions based in Hamburg / Germany.
The mastermind behind IRE HI-FI ist singer, soundsystem operator and studio engineer PENSI.
All the rythm tracks are played live at IRE-HI FI studios by the uptones band / 108 crew. Also "Dub me Ruff" was a Hamburg Dub project during the 90´s. Some of their productions feat. PENSi on the vocals are included in this selection as well.

Tous les mois, Musical Echoes vous propose deux sélections 100% vinyles : l’une roots/digital et l’autre reggae/dub/stepper, plus actuelle. Féru de reggae début des années 90, Joe a amassé cinq décennies de musiques jamaïcaine en vinyles, dans tous les styles. Après une rencontre avec Delroy Melody qui lui demande de ressortir son anthem "Ease Up The Pressure", il décide de lancer son label, Jamwax, fin 2013. Ce dernier donne une seconde chance à certains artistes oubliés ou ressort des morceaux très rares, mais aussi des nouveautés. Aux platines pour la sélection de décembre, Joe nous offre ici 30 titres des années 60, 70 et 80 avec des raretés ou classiques ska, rocksteady, roots et digital. Une avalanche de tunes splendides à pleurer qui nous rappellent que le reggae de ces années-là reste à ce jour, la plus belle musique jamais conçue. Run it Joe Jamwax !

I fell in love with Jamaican styles of music in my teenage days. At the age of 16 I started collecting & playing records. I started to set up King David Soundsystem in 1995. It has always been a work in progress system. I started with 500 watts and played roughly 10k in 2010. Traveling to many places I met a lot of people and I really give thanks for a load of amazing experiences. Jah know! 
Living in Berlin since 2000 I´ve been an integral part of the local Reggae/Soundsystem scene until around 2012. Since 2022 I´m back with the new King David Soundsystem 2.0, ready to kick off my label "Ital Breakfast Records" and also proudly presenting the „Ital Breakfast Radioshow“ on https://hearticalfm.com and https://www.omyradio.net the 2nd Saturday every month.
