Since the world was bedeviled by the novel virus from Wuhan, China, our activities have been rescheduled and it has reinforced various norms in our society. Many people had adjusted their mode of lives to fit into the survival food chain. Ranging from cancellation of weddings, special events, rescheduling of our various activities, etc. As a musician, we have also been affected greatly and our work routines have been remolded to fit what is expected of society. 

I was afraid I would never release this song due to how the future looked bleak with each passing day, but with God, all things were made possible. He had been faithful and gave me the strength to handle this project. It's such a personal project that meanders deep into my heart. I am glad I brought it into life to bless the soul of everyone that will listen to it.

Today, a reality was birthed into a song and I am glad to drop it for everyone. 'Dancing Shoe' is a reality. Thank you to everyone that has contributed to my growth and keeps listening to my song. You made me.

It has been a Merrily Christmas. 2020 had been a year we thought we would not survive or scale through the virus that caught us in between, COVID19. Who would have thought we would be here right now? Still, blossoming and waiting for what the future holds?. 

 

Now, it's a new year, and I hope we will keep flourishing in the midst of what the year 2021 has to offer to us. Here, I forwardly present my honest struggle, which I made into an album, special to my heart. I sang about Africa; what is currently going on and how much time and every day Jesus saves the day for me. My year wouldn't be complete without Jesus.

 

The life of being myself, have been a thrilling adventure. I love how everything had been moving, my life and all. I have been able to see how the reality of gospel music. How it's more than just an organised religion but encompasses a lifestyle for myself. I pour out myself and how the struggle had been, while looking up to God, through Jesus.

 

Not to mention that through a collaborative effort with jlyricz, everything has proved how I see and mirror the world and I feel blessed to be alive and above all struggles here.

If 1 truth could save your life would you go back?
We all want to say yes, but the answer is based on the value you see in yourself. The lyrics in ‘Go Back’ address the idea that without a fundamental truth, we find ourselves seeking for that stronghold. A question on from this that aims to be the focus of the track: 

 Is what you’re going back to saving you for the moment? or from all aspects of your life moving forwards?

The single ‘GO BACK’ mentions ‘On this rock I will build my’, a reference to Christ speaking with his disciple Paul who recognised that Jesus was the messiah. Christ is drawing attention to the fact that anyone who realises in the same way, they become that rock for others. A people who ‘Go back’ to this truth. 

‘Go Back’ reveals a difference between two kingdoms, the system of this world vs the kingdom of heaven. Two character roles are being played in the music video although it is expressing the choices made by one person. The lyrics dwell on the concept that the flesh is not the real you, that you are to rule over it, to not be conformed to its ways, rather to take thoughts captive in the carnal mind which is fallen, and be led by the Holy Spirit which gives you life more abundantly.
