I think I have freedom, no, no,
I’m really a prisoner to myself and the world,
An enemy of God and completely lost, yeah, I am.



I need saving - yes I do,
I need my dirty garments, new,
My sins need forgiving, I can’t deny,
Because of them - my Saviour died.



How am I changed,
How can I live,

what can I give,
I can give nothing,
He is faithful and Just,
To cleanse me from sin,
If only I trust!



I need to recognise,
My part in it all, that made Jesus die,
My sinful state, If I think I’m that good,
It’s just deceiving and only a lie,



I need to admit and just be real,
For my own sake and before Jesus kneel,
He is right, and my only King,
Who paid the price for my Sin,
That I should obtain eternal life,
And be in the book of life He will write.

If we’re honest, we don’t measure up,

The word says  we all fall short of the Glory of God,
We’ll be outside Heaven - is that so odd?
If we surrender and love, our Lord Jesus,
We’ll be with Him, He’ll never leave us.
For ever and ever, for you and  for me,
We'll live on for ever -  eternally.
