Cubículo Records is very proud of its new vinyl featuring another legend from the reggae world. We are talking about Trevor Junior who voiced over a huge Rub-A-Dub Riddim from the French producer B-no, out of the Upfull Posse Crew.

As rub a dub lovers, B-no and his crew Upfull Posse decided in 2013 to organise the return to Europe of a legendary reggae artist from the 80's era, Trevor Junior. After a tour all over Europe and a good connection with him, B-no composed a riddim specially for Trevor to sing with lyrics about love and friendship. A few days before his return to Jamaica, Trevor Junior recorded "People are changing" at B-no's Bunker studio in only one take. Relations with peoples are evaluating for everyone, in every community, all over the world. That is what the tune is about, human feelings.

This release will be on a 12” heavyweight vinyl featuring two tracks, on the A Side we can find the conscious lyrical talent of Trevor Junior over the music “People are Changing” and on the flip side you can find the riddim version.

Vinyl will be released on the 15th November.

Helmed by world-renowned drum & bass and reggae DJ Liondub, the Liondub Internatonal imprint has made massive strides since it's inception. Releasing a steady stream of top-shelf material from a growing stable of producers and vocalists, it has become a go-to source for emerging, top-notch music at the nexus of reggae, dubstep and drum & bass sounds. Last year saw the christening of the Liondub45 sub label, which specializes in collectible, deep, vintage dub and scorching Roots Reggae 7”s and showcases the talents of a veritable who’s who of modern Dub producers and original foundation vocalists.

Sugar Minott is a hard act to follow, but there could be none better than Judah Eskender Tafari. Coming up at the height of roots reggae music, Judah first performed as a musician at 12 Tribes shows in Jamaica and later recorded his first big releases at Studio 1. Beginning with "Jah Light", he went on to record other hit songs like "Rastafari Tell You", "Always Trying" and "Just Another Day". These tracks and many more have gained him international notoriety in the past 30 years and lead up to his work with Ras Kush's Black Redemption label. In all of his music Ras Kush delivers a positive message of Faith, Hope and Charity. 

NYC based keyboardist, engineer, and producer Victor Axelrod, aka Ticklah, has been a continual and integral part of the NYC music scene for over a decade. He is a founding member of Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Antibalas and the Easy Star All-Stars with whom he continues to record and perform. In the past several years he has recorded keys for Mark Ronson, D'Angelo, Estelle, MIA as well as the Amy Winehouse. In addition to Liondub45 he has released his own work on the NYC reggae label Easy Star. Wether its a dubbed-out Sharon Jones remix or an original groove built form the ground up, Ticklah's tracks are always captivating and rich with sonic detail.  

Originally released as the b-side to "Life" on Black Redemption, Land Of Confusion was voiced at Ticklah's studio and released in 2007. Three years later, Ticklah has arranged a new instrumental track around the vocal, adding his own signature out-board effects, percussion and keyboard harmonies to the conscious lyrics of the "Commander". The resulting track and version are a musical gem; melding the dub experimentation of Creation Steppers with the inimitable spirit of Studio 1 and Soul Syndicate. It's no surprise then that Jah Shaka has offered steady support for this track on his soundsystem time and time again! Three years in the making and well worth the wait, Land of Confusion is a must have for all fans of dub reggae and roots music worldwide.

Danny Red started his recording career in Kingston Jamaica 1983, but it was not until the early nineties that Danny found success in the UK roots scene. Teaming up with the producer Nick Manasseh together they wrote and voiced the seminal “Be Grateful“. Following the huge success of this and other tracks, Danny was voted the best roots artist 94 & 95 as well as being the first roots artist to be signed to Columbia records for 25 years during 1995.

Fast forward to 2008 and Danny  and Nick are back in the studio together with the musical vibes flowing stronger than ever. Danny wastes no time jumping on board this rootsy and anthemic “steppers” rhythm complete with Nyahbinghi hand drums and live horn section - courtesy of Jonah Dan and Soothsayers Horns. Danny sings words of warning to any conspirators and back biters that claim say they know his business.
Manasseh unleashes an upfull and dance floor friendly dubwise version.

Trojan Reloaded have proudly announced details of their newest musical offering ‘The Music’,  a brand new EP from one of the UK’s leading sound system collectives- Reggae Roast. Comprised of five tracks, the record features an all-star lineup of musical greats with features from the likes of  Brother Culture, Jah Screechy, Natty Campbell, Shumba Youth, Donavon King Jay, and Clapper Priest.

Since forming in 2007, Reggae Roast have forged a reputation as the leading light in the resurgence of the UK Dub / Reggae scene. The release of ‘The Music’ EP breathes new life into a sound system classic affirming Reggae Roast as key players in the new wave of British Reggae all whilst keeping the original spirit of the genre alive.

The EP features five tracks on the 'None a Jah Jah Children No Cry' riddim, originally recorded by Ras Michael and the Sons of Negus in 1975, and remade by Fashion Records in the late 1980's for the track 'We a Blood' by Junior Delgado, both of which went on to become classics in the reggae and sound system world.
‘The Music’ EP  reversions these tracks to give them space and cultural relevance within the 21st century, with brand new vocal cuts from some of the most talented MCs and vocalists in the country including Brother Culture and Jah Screechy.

It also features a brilliant all-star track featuring all the Reggae Roast Soundsystem vocalists, with Donovan Kingjay, Brother Culture, Natty Campbell, Clapper Priest and Shumba Youth, each on their own verses, collectively offering a real fusion of mix and sounds.

Reggae Roast are signed to Trojan records imprint label, Trojan Reloaded with the collectives debut album to be released via the new label.
