Gregory Cash (born April 14th), better known by his stage name Kingpen AKA PICASO P, is an American rapper and member of the Gfam Nation. After the group achieved breakthrough success with their 2004 debut,Captin Chronic) , the members went on to pursue solo careers to varying levels of success. Kingpen Tha Priest debuted his solo-career with Gfam in 2005 with Kingpen Tha Beautiful, which was well received by the streets of chicago. He would continue his career, creating additional albums over the following years such as Kingpen Tha Beautiful Pt.2,Mixtape Money 101,Chemical Warefare, and Fallen Angels 1.0
Kingpen is critically acclaimed for his loud, slow-paced flow, and his heavy-consciousness containing chicago slang and straight foward aproach.
Kingpen was raised on the south side of Chicago, Illinois (95st to 100's). In his autobiographical song “They say don't sale drugs" he tells his story how he traveled the mean streets of the south side of chicago and became a hustler. How he did whatever he had to on the streets of chicago to stay on his and alive.
His stage name was taken from Ghostface Killah and one of his best friends Prease. "Ghostface because that's one of my favorite Mc's" explains Kingpen "he called himself the Kingpen of the ink pen and Prease because we used to rhym together and he stoped to hustle and raise his son so I took the name to rep the both of us and spelled it Priest. So now it's on Kingpen Tha Priest AKA PICASO P"
