Usually as a Phish fan when I hear the opening notes to BDTNL I facepalm and tune out. 
But this version struck something special in me. I was in Bangor, ME with some of the best friends in the world.
First of all I couldn't believe my homie Erizzle made it all the way out from Utah.. and myself and Chicky all the way from VT.. and my other buddies all the way up from CT. 
It was so beautiful to be alive together in that moment; after I had been going through some seriously shitty situations in my life. 
Listening to those lyrics and thinking back to the time I met each and every one of you, everything we'd been through together, thinking backwards down the number line. I'll be damned if I don't admit that was the first time I ever cried tears of joy at a show. 
Take a minute, give BDTNL a chance; appreciate your friends and what you got and you'll see why the song was written.
