King Pikeezy is a recording artist, rapper, producer, songwriter, and trendsetter. Pikeezy was born in Newark, New jersey, in the vailsburg section also known as "Hoodaville". His journey in music started at the Newark Boys Chorus School, a performing arts academy which he attended from 4th to 8th grade. While at the choir school he learned music theory, piano, and vocal lessons. As a student of the school he was afforded the opportunity to travel the world, singing in locations such as Australia , New Zealand, Italy and across the United States. They performed at concert halls, opera houses, churches and stadiums. After graduating he attended the famed Arts High School in Newark, New Jersey, were he continued his musical training. While at Arts high school he formed a production company were he produced and wrote songs for aspiring artists, and started to hone his musical abilities. He began to focus on a career in the music industry. After graduating high school he attended the prestigious historically black institution, Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. While in Atlanta he promoted parties at local clubs, worked with local independent record labels, and produced music for local artist. After attending Morehouse College he returned to Newark, New Jersey, and attended the Institute of Audio Research (A.I.R) an audio engineering and musical production school located in NYC. In the subsequent years Pikeezy has launched several business endeavors. Blank Canvas Productions, a multi-media production company. Stop Shootin Music, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that uses music to help reverse the trend of senseless violence. Grits & Caviar, a fashion and lifestyle brand. Pamela Marie Hat Company a bespoke luxury hat company. Recent projects released “Young Griot", an EP which is entirely produced by Grammy Nominated and Platinum producer !LL Mind, “Prelude To Freedom” (Ep) “Escape From The Trap” (Ep) “Son of A Zulu” EP & “Curator of Culture “ (Full length album). He stays busy organizing community events, designing clothing, developing ideas, writing, recording ,producing music and running several businesses. He uses his music and art to empower and educate. Pikeezy is scheduled to release a new collection of limited edition pieces from his Grits & Caviar clothing line, a Novel,and a Documentary.
