Born to to a single parent in Flatbush Brooklyn Akingbadé (Badé) Francis was heavily Influenced by hip hop music.
  
He made his debut as the 4th member of the spoken word group Second 2 Last.Continuing the legacy of the Last Poets.The group met in Pratt institute where he studied Fine art, Graphic Design and Illustration.Second 2 last dominated the underground spoken word scene in New York.Opening up for the Roots and the Pharcyde. They dropped 2 Full length projects Say Word and Babble On.
   
When the scene changed and the group Split he thought that was it and stepped away from the spotlight.Mentally blocked he threw himself into his art but Hip Hop still breathed life into his soul. Between Club hopping and Abstract painting he wrote, over time his poetry turned into rhymes.

Feeling that something was missing and frustrated with the stripper rap and murder music
dominating Pop driven Rap.He took his name King Pleasure from The world renowned artist Basqiat who he hung out with in Washington Square Park as a teen.

Picking up the Pen Once again King Pleasure was born.MC and Multi Media artist King Pleasure is ready to rock the world one rhyme at a time
