Presenting his long awaited full-length album, the king of disco re-edits Dr Packer graces Glitterbox Recordings with six brand new mixes alongside twelve of his rare cuts and well-loved treasures. Dr Packer’s Different Strokes features Dr Packer versions of soulful house favourites, disco standards and groove-laden floorfillers. Following two DJ mixes from Dr Packer featuring bonus tracks, the album kicks off with a bonafide classic. Dr Packer’s take on Soulsearcher’s ‘Can’t Get Enough!’ maintains all its most iconic elements, the euphoric vocals and timeless groove given a fresh-sounding elasticity. Another highlight and an album exclusive, ‘Big Love’ from Peter Heller’s Big Love is brim full of Dr Packer’s unmistakeable warmth, cowbell accents giving the groove some bump. Next is Dr Packer’s remix of The Shapeshifter’s evergreen ‘Lola’s Theme Recut’ followed by another album exclusive, Candi Staton’s ‘Hallelujah Anyway’. Ron Hall & The Muthafunkaz featuring Marc Evans ‘The Way You Love Me’ (Dr Packer Extended Remix) is the third new cut, followed by another new remix for this album, Dr Packer’s version of Johnny Corporate’s ‘Sunday Shoutin’’, picking up the pace with a funking bassline to suit any dynamic disco set. More highlights include Dr Packer’s versions of ‘When Love Breaks Down’ by The Shapeshifters featuring Teni Tinks and ‘Set It Out’ from Purple Disco Machine & Boris Dlugosch, both brand new remixes. Carol Jiani is making her debut on Milk & Sugar Recordings with a full remix release of her signature song Hit'n Run Lover, now reworked from Italy's CASSIMM, French producers Tommy Glasses and Samy K and UK's Rob Hayes.

In 1980, Carol Jiani recorded two Sandy Wilbur-written pieces with La Greca, "Hit 'N Run Lover" and "All The People of the World". "Hit 'N Run Lover" was remixed by San Francisco-based Moby Dick Records for their Gold Standard imprint and would become Jiani's signature song, peaking at number 4 on the US Billboard Club Play Singles chart in 1981. On the heels of "Hit N' Run Lover"'s success, Matra Records commissioned a complete album, also titled Hit 'N Run Lover. 

Now Milk & Sugar Recordings have taken over the master rights, bringing a full remix release of her hit single. Italy's CASSIMM, French producers Tommy Glasses and Samy K and UK's Rob Hayes provide four absolutely unique versions to cover the needs of today's market.

DJing and selecting is in Melvo Baptiste’s blood. Born into a family of dancers, record collectors and music enthusiasts, a musical education based on the principles of soul, rare groove, funk and disco has evolved him into the beloved DJ and radio presenter he is today. One of the faces of Glitterbox, he now makes his debut on the label with his first production outing, ‘Bad Company’ featuring London vocalist Phebe Edwards. Drawing inspiration from golden-era disco with funk-fuelled guitar riffs, an irresistible bassline and percussive interludes, Phebe’s vocal echoes the soul greats that have come before her. Flawlessly stitched together with Melvo’s production, this sublime slice of modern disco features qualities of the genre’s classics, undoubtedly a future Glitterbox anthem.
