Closer To Me is the first instalment from the upcoming album from King Shi. A combination of Downtempo and Hip Hop infused with Soul and Funk elements. The rolling break shuffles and sways throughout as a warm and saturated bass line bumps from kick to snare. Strings layer and whirl through the leads as they’re dubbed with keys and additional strings that swell and accentuate the established melodies. This is King Shi doing what he does best: making immersive Downtempo beats.

Closer To Me

End of Summer takes us deep into scattered percussion and rolling breaks. Deep chords create the perfect base for sweeping fx, swelling vocal pads and distant woodwind layers. All of these elements work in perfect harmony as they build and rise to the addition of a jazz infused trumpet that takes the lead melody and expands with its own unique sound and progressions. King Shi effortlessly takes all this mixture of sounds and combines them to create a truly awe-inspiring soundscape

End Of Summer

The Older Man is the third and final single lifted from King Shi’s new album. Its rolling drums and memorable melodies will have heads nodding from the first note to long after the last note. The drum breaks are layered with warm bass tones and the leads are created from layers of piano keys, dusty chords and jazzy guitar licks that ricochet and swing from kick to snare hit. King Shi brings together a lot of influences to create this uplifting and unparalleled Hip Hop / Downtempo track

In recent years, Russian independent scene has repeatedly shown that our country is rich in musical talent and real nuggets. Modern technologies allow to create, without leaving home, and sometimes without leaving the couch. Someone is limited to only the tip of the iceberg, and almost every day churning out the same type of backing tracks, but someone is trying to get the most out of these technologies and their music, "I". The latter can be safely attributed and producer from Siberia under the name King Shi. To work on their new full-length album "The Asian Wind", he spent more than a year, carefully polishing his sound and selecting the best of their own projects.
The album - a true example of downtempo-quality music from Russia, which is not ashamed to appear in front of and peers from the EU and the U.S. and western public before the election. It is worth noting that the release of "The Asian Wind" will be held on the European netlabel Dusted Wax Kingdom in the first half of July 2013. This well-balanced, high-quality and emotional music definitely deserves support and not get one in your circle of players.
